I have been on here about 2 years and I have had replies but most of them are from young guys between 27 and 54. I actually had two close to my age contact me, bet you can guess what for, an intimate encounter. I have on my profile that I am not to be contacted for that as I am not interested in that type of relationship. I am originally from INDIANA, but ....I been everywhere, Man....! My oldest two were born in Louisiana, little Cajuns they grew up...and my youngest were born here (actually born in OH, at UC cuz KY didnt have high risk hospital)
But i would love to hear your accent. Im hear to see why no one posts parties anymore? I have tried to start a forum, but dont know how. LOL

Dating in kentucky really is the pits. Some of the most beautiful women in the world live here. But honest, hard-working ordinary men don't stand a chance. We don't have movie-star looks, Donald Trump bank accounts, or gold manisons on the hill. No women want us. No self-respecting, honest, decent man, will ever get a break.
And because of that one fact, most of the women end up without too. SAD, ISN'T IT
Unfortunately you have taken the words pretty much out of my mouth. Not all, but most women in this area do not seem to want an intellectual, respectful man. I said it for nearly 10 years that most women truely want an ***hole, or so is the evidence of most women I have met on singles sites, out in the clubs, pub, restaurants, even church for Christ's Sake.
This is what always has worried me what if things do not work out with my current girlfriend, and I have to re-enter the dating scene, would I just turn into a complete ass, or still be a gentleman. From my personal past expereience when I was single, not just in KY, being an ass and almost player type and showing little attention and walking off, but only showing a remote interest and being almost like a bad boy thug, is what got the best response. so my next question is going to be a thread on here in the KY chat forum!
Women What Do You REALLY Want (HONESTLY)?
1) A Bad Boy!
2) An old fashioned nice guy!
3) A normal looking guy
4) A model will only do
I just want to know if the women out there are as shallow as the ones I have met in general ... AGAIN NOT ALL, but MOST so i don't hopefully offend all the women out there!

Be consistant, Honest and up front and that will definately improve your chances!!!
Why Not put what you are REALLY looking for??..and stick to the outcome you desire..

Posted: 4/26/2008 3:13:48 PM | Good points made on many sides of this issue. I think that men and women have more in common than we have different. Fact is, I feel most of us want somebody at least "more perfect" (for lack of other terms) than our last mate/partner etc. But that doesn't mean were all looking for models and movie stars either. I think many are trying to find the right person to date in a hurry though. And many are simply trying to avoid getting into anything painful too. My last breakup felt like it tore my guts out, so I'm really getting picky as to who I send an IM/Email too on this site. Even so, I rarely get a response back, and I have gotten to where I just expect that here.
I think one problem with dating in eastern Ky is that the ladies here often settle down when their very very young, often under 18 years of age. So it's true that some people are married and try to pretend otherwise, I have seen this happen a few times. One has to ask a million questions before ya can figure out if the person is actually married and pretending not to be.
Then we have the problems with both sexes looking for a partner with a lot of $$. I think we have a little too much emphasis on making money and not enough on romance and true chemistry. Its truly sad. But I'm not giving up, and I'm keeping my head up. I know somewhere is the right gal for me.

I am originally from INDIANA, got married and moved to LOUSIANA, have lived in OHIO, ARIZONA, NEW MEXICO, ARKANSAS, GEORGIA, and i have visited ENGLAND, FRANCE, HAITI, BAHAMAS...many many more......where i dated guys for a period of time
But: the conker? I LIVED with a man in KY for 3 years, Married my SECOND husband (KY) my first was from LOUISIANA, but he was living in INDIANA at the time, lol...another man that moved to be with me. I had forgotten about that one. LMAO!
I saw on one of these threads that someone wrote "I joke about being overweight and just say to know me is to love me, love me like i am" WOW!!! To know me is to love me has always been my motto! And im not overweight. Just seems like men fall for me, fast, and will leave their whole career behind to be with me. Something i dont want them to do.
KENTUCKY is a very beautiful and lovely state. I have no complaints about ANY state i have ever been in . KY MEN, you shouldnt put yourself down like that!!! It has nothing to do with where you are from or what you look like, it has to do with WHO YOU ARE and HOW YOU CONDUCT YOURSELF
The guy i lived with for 3 years was complete gentlemen, taught me everything i know about etiquette...but my KY husband (x) I found too late, a TOTAL geeky redneck who farted, barked, scracthed, and even blew his nose without a kleenex. EWWWWWWWWW!!! that made me totally sick. haha. i had never seen anyone do that before!! lmao!!
so , KY guys just dont do that one on a date! haha | |
