Lol....true. I got out of it for three reasons:
1) I felt like a hypocrite because I continued to smoke and then taunt them for it
2) the pay sucked here twelve years ago
3) my kid got sick from the germs I brought home

| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 10:45:15 AM | Worse when it says "No", than you meet the guy and fifteen minutes into the conversation he runs outside, excusing himself. OK, first one is forgiven - may be he is nervous. Fine. But five minutes later he gets this puppy look again and he is outside again. What's the excuse now? Oh, OK, I am sorry for being so beautiful. Ten more minutes and...
I say - "How come your profile said "No"? He goes "I don't really smoke, just sometimes". I say - "There is an option there - "occasionally", at least (even thought his resemblance with a steam train becomes unbeatable).
He goes "But I really don't smoke much".
OK, I am done.
I had been smoking for many years, close to a pack a day and than one day I just quit cold turkey. I can still go to the bar and see all smokers there enjoying themselves. I don't touch cigarettes at all. NONE. Because I am a non-smoker. So... if you are a "NON-SMOKER", please make sure you saw all the options in the drop-down menu on this site.
P.S. He called me "controlling". Right. Let me suffer for smoking truth. -------------------------------------------- Always Love, ex-princess

and if it is cigars or a pipe clarify in your profile.

| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 10:52:39 AM | Ex, sounds like he has issues. I can go without all night if prefered, and it doesn't bother me. People need to take the considerations of others into account...otherwise they are just being selfish. If I even thought of having one it would be while I was walking, and behind the person as not to get the smoke on them or make them smell it. Then It would just be a short burst to curb the edge. | |

| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 10:52:58 AM | Ok, maybe, just maybe, you're quitting and slip every now and then?? just a possibility | |

| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 10:56:59 AM | I'm sure there are exceptions, but for the most part I think when people say prefer not to say in the smoking catagory, they smoke and they don't wanna admit it here.

| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 11:16:08 AM | I smoke and I state that I smoke, not gonna blow some up anyones ass, I have actually had a few people who reviewed my profile tell me I should take that off, lol, but I want to be honest so it stays on, however, I will say that if I am out with a date who doesnt smoke I will not smoke around them out of respect. But thats me. | |
|
| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 12:50:06 PM | | I also smoke and am honest about it. But I don't smoke around non smokers (and it really isn't a problem to go for hours without one, it's done in work places every day!) and don't even smoke inside my home... I go outside. | |
|
| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 12:57:22 PM | | yet again another thread asking ppl to keep adding to there profile when they may not want to. what does it matter if they smoke or not you are going to find out thru talking to them or meeting them. well ther eyou go they didnt lie they left it out. and the whole fact that in the profile you can choose prefer not to say kinda shows that its all about how much info they want to give out to ppl. at that time. | |

| Smoking Prefer not to say Posted: 2/5/2006 1:08:03 PM | | thats fine and thats your right to do that but the issue here is not weather you would or wouldnt the issue is ppl need to stop acting like just because ppl omit stuff from there profile that the world is going to end. plus if its at the point were ppl are doing this and you dont like that well then if you keep talking to them and you find out later and your like omg you should have said something sooner. well the whole time youtalked to the person if they sounded a bad person fine but if they were nice and you then all of a sudden judged them on the whole smoking thing or what have you that seems a bit shallow and you may end up missing out on something because of something so insignifigant. | |
