| What would you say is the number one reason a women would reject a guy for?
Posted: 1/19/2007 6:47:36 AM | What do you mean by rejected? Imagine a crowded party and you look across the room and see this girl. She notices that you are looking.
She turns away and ignores you. (Rejection level one.)
instead, she smiles and you walk over to her. Then she stares right through you as if you don't exist, laughts and walks away (Rejection level two.)
Instead she smiles and answers when you start talking. However after three minutes she tells you she has to find her friend says goodbye and disappears (Rejection level three).
Instead you dance and talk for the rest of the party and you get her number. However the number is for a chinese restaurant(Rejection level four).
Instead you actually get to talk to her the next day.
Rejection levels one through four have nothing to do with liking children, dogs, church groups and so forth. They have nothing to do with income, life choices or values. Yet these are the stages that 90% of men's approaches die in.
The first reason women reject men is chemistry. She asks her self "Does he interest me? Would he be fun to talk to?" and that is based on looks and attitude.
The good news Guys is that looks is mostly the way you are dressed. Look like a nerd, be treated like a nerd. If you keep crashing at Rejection level one, buy a new wardrobe.
If you are crashing at level two. Dropping the hackneyed line. Just say "Hi, I'm ...." with a smile and offer a hand shake. Most girls are polite. They won't freeze you dead for saying hi. Now if you used a line that made the audience on J. Leno, then you may get that reaction. You just flunked a test. (For the bolder, say something unique. Personally, I sometims say "Do you like sailing?" That's because I do. If I get frozen out, then she didn't like sailing and it never would work.)
A level three rejection means that your personalilty didn't work for her, or you really didn't come accross as a person. Here's where a fellow can blow it by being too rude, crude, inarticulate, drunk, or arrogant. Remember she gets to judge. In the first three minutes stick to a mix of safe conversation and interesting teasers.
A level four rejection. She's got a boyfriend, or she's seeing someone, or she was just using your for a time waster. Put is down to experience and see if you can identify the signs that you should have given up way earlier.

I am NOT saying he has to agree with everything I think, but I am always suspect of comments that start off like "All ______ are (insert ignorance here)
I remember dating a guy (albeit for a short time thank GAWD) and he had a VERY cruel thing to say about animals. At that point he pretty much transformed himself from hottie to disgusting troll. The relationship ended that week. All levels of attraction were gone by then.

A man that would invite you out and ask where your half of the money is (it is ok if agreed upon prior to).
Someone stuck on himself.
A person with no tact about himself, talking loud, cussing (I hate the GD word).
Condescending attitudes.
Off the subject: I like to reply to all e-mails, I feel it is only courteous. I think we all to respect one another's feelings. It is just something that needs to be said. | |

First off I hear alot of women say they want to be treated like a lady, you know the whole chivalry thing and thankfully; I guess, thats just who I am! I've been rejected for that!
Oh well can't change who I am!
Next is sence of humor. I like to make folks laugh. Been rejected for that!
Next would be complimenting them on how pretty,etc.etc.etc. they are. Been rejected for that!
Next showing them how valuable and how much I enjoy their company. Been rejected for that!
So tongue in cheek I think most will reject you for any reason that is convenient for them at the time! Seems they think they know what they want then when they get it, they don't think they want that after all!
Hmmmm, I keep hearing this "Knight in Shinning Armor" thing. I think some ladies would find a way to rust him once they got him! I don't know what to think anymore! | |

or

Posted: 1/19/2007 8:28:52 PM | hm, for me...it's men who are just a bit too clingy and dependant [women are definately this way, too, but some men find that attractive, i suppose]. i like my space, and i like my privacy. i have my little world just how i like it...and if i like you, i may just let you in to share in some of the wonders that i have come across...but don't envade, attach yourself, and think that you can just turn my world upside down! that just reaks of insecurity!!! most woman would head for the hills with that one, i think. just my opinion.

Posted: 1/19/2007 9:26:48 PM | I would disagree. A man doesn't have to be "handsome" for me to find him attractive. It is a lot more about an inner glow. If I get a sense that he has a sense of humour and an enjoyment of people, all kinds of people, then I'm interested. If he shows that he is intelligent and has something to say about his day then that is another step forward.
The number one reason I would reject a man is if I get a sense that they have addictions. So a smoker who seems to pound back the booze... that is almost a deal breaker right there. If I think their lifestyle is going to lead to a lot of medical problems and hospital visits then color me gone. I have real issues with people who seem to have a self-destructive lifestyle. | |

1) Euler Diagrams have kicked Venn Diagrams' collective asses since the mid 18th century.
2) In Plato's Cave*, the people who haven't seen the intelligent light of day were prisoners from a very young age and were innocent. It follows from your analogy that the statement-guys are innocent and have not been allowed to be exposed to learning. Thus, you've rejected a totally innocent statement-guy for a reason beyond his control. Isn't this just what Hitler did when he picked his all-non-Jewish dodgeball team in grade school?**

*Telling me they don't drink to excess and showing up pie-eyed.
*Ditto on drugs
*Smoking--not in the same catagory as above, natch, but still a lie.
*Photos showing someone else, or from a different era and telling me they are recent. It's not a looks thing people, it's a lying thing.
*Is involved with someone else
*Is a woman, although I might get into a conversation about why a woman would lie to another woman about being a man.
*Lying about how long they have been clean and sober--if they lie about it, chances are they won't stay that way, even if they are at the moment
*Telling me they are kind, considerate guys just looking for a nice woman, then suggesting sex before I even know their correct name. Basically, any guy who is looking just for an easy lay and lies about it.
*Saying they don't have children when they do. I want to report these guys to social services.
* Claims to have read and liked my profile, but shows up with a rifle and describes in great detail how much he likes to shoot animals. Hmm, probably anyone that shows up with a rifle would make me seriously nervous anyway. I don't agree to meet people in areas where weapons are needed.
Lying shows a total lack of respect, and that won't change.
Also biggots, guys looking for a free meal (unless they told me this and I agreed before hand) Chronically unemployed, brags about what he has (money, cars, girls). Also won't shut up, talks over the top of me, and if I do get a word in, turns away and fiddles with something else or ignores me. Never lets me finish a sentence.
