You'd be hard pressed to not be affected by some of them. Their insight, their perspective and opinions added to illuminate a topic, their poetry, lyrics, things that move them. Absolutely, lots of folks on here have impacted me. Women and men alike. If you're not getting anything out of this dialog you perhaps are not putting anything in. | |

One of the most amazing people I have ever known named Angela, down in Tennessee became one of the most important persons in my life. It's hard to describe the positive effect she's had on me, and apparantly it goes for her too.
I'm the best friend she's never met is what she tells me. :P | |

Posted: 2/9/2006 12:04:31 PM | Yes it's very easy to get "involved" with someone you've never met, the imagination easily runs wild... which is why it's so important to MEET someone well before you begin daily emails and chat sessions... you want to be able to get to know someone for who they are with a clean slate - when you show up with a lot of preconceived notions and fantasies (even if they are subconcious) that first meeting can be very awkward.
In fact, almost every time I have met someone after a lot of emailing and chats, it hasn't worked... whereas the people I've met right away, before I decided what they were all about in my mind, I've had more luck with. | |
