Tears bring puddles to the floor I will wipe no more
The day is done night has come
The emptiness begins I will try to defend
The loneliness takes hold I will struggle to be bold
Darkness sets it's demise I longingly look for sunrise

| ON THE DARKER SIDE OF LIFE Posted: 3/8/2006 1:03:54 PM | 5159 Sacrifice in Darkness 09 March 2006
Death to a broken heart love to a soul that died Where was living to be unnoticed in dark
Struck between immortal what morale brings peace As if confidence was not the seed black to colour not bright
Dismal to surrounding was this the knight to depart For she would never surrender who said prayer was to answer
Sacrifice or sacrilege a farewell from long off There was no tomorrow because then it was day
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1: 2, 4-5, 18 KJV

Was man one of God’s blunders or is God one of man’s to see As if truth to interpretation was for eyes focused in existence to thee
For if God was in fact an invention made of mistake What was this spirit from within being so painful to heart break
Like wheels on an automobile rotating in direction of drive Man was either born to be dead or of a probation to live and survive
Was God one of man’s blunders where woman was taken out of man Then biblical in item of concern could have been the foundation of God in plan
"And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." Genesis 2: 18, 21-23 KJV

| ON THE DARKER SIDE OF LIFE Posted: 3/11/2006 8:28:55 PM | Hi I am fairly new to this site. I'd like to share one of my "darker side" poems so here goes;
A little light to write by Is all I need right now A little light to cry by Before I say good bye...
He held me once Not long ago But has forgotten me I am alone...
Peace right now Is all I need To forget about His memory...
I've given in I've given up There Is no such thing As true love...
So a little light to write by Is all I need right now A little light to die by But not before I say good bye....

When veins are cut and blood does run Away in a darkness thoughts to be not liked by some
While in metaphor a life line severed to suit That commitment of a failure to reboot
Not to death yet to live Not with her he unable to give
Wrists not slit neither to sadness become This element before a reunion to savor her in one

Black is black white is blue Then the truth is a lie if those only knew
Misunderstood if not by communicate Brought to ground in terror made void of manner toward partisan of take
Where rhyme nor reason collide to puncture a beating heart Withdrawn as to deposit bank torn and ripped in supplication part
Limb from limb bloodied to transpire Down but not lowered to realm just instead raised higher and higher
“One who walks in another's tracks leaves no footprints.” Proverb

| ON THE DARKER SIDE OF LIFE Posted: 3/12/2006 3:03:16 PM | Hiya tree-cat, I was over earlier and had a few reads...didn't see you had this thread also. It inspired me to go rewrite this one. Just a small contribution on the darker side... Great writes here, I like "Actions" and also "No One knew"+"A nice picture" ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ceaton Hall (take two) --------------------
Jesus H christ I remember you!
Those slow white days In Ceaton Hall Rightious eyes lurking Rock hunters Spoon benders, Banging bones on the third floor
And his buddy had his arm ripped off Hanging from the car door
And I believed Hendrix eyes Splattered to the walls She said he floated on up Past her window And down my throat
Oh yes, I remember you! Armed-in Candy coated love
Thanks for the memory
You shit. | |

| ON THE DARKER SIDE OF LIFE...... Posted: 3/16/2006 11:19:25 AM | You left me standing there time and time again said it built character good thing we are still friends timing is everything so they say but I know from experience it only brings on pain what I feel can it be explained
for some strange reason we both hold on dancin to the same drummer but different songs is this acceptable is this why we fear will it be inevitable when we are near
someone here must be stronger show the other the way can you honestly show me how we won't go astray time is tick tick ticking away taking it's toll leaving us betrayed if you only had five minutes with me right now what would you say...

| ON THE DARKER SIDE OF LIFE...... Posted: 3/17/2006 1:20:58 AM | I've been falsely accused for the same ol crime way too many times it just could be the cherokee in me that helps to hide the rage though I'm as white as white can be the red man yeah the red man deep inside can be seen in me
so write away the sorrow so sing away the pain leave me here stranded like a dog out in the rain tie me down with false illusion tie me down by twisted deeds I will never surrender to your words of what I believe
I feel the spirit I feel the sun the moon and the time to run
so write away the sorrow so sing away the pain beat me down by worldly measures where you don't want me to think I can feel the tide is turning the last will become first you say you can hold out forever but your worlds ready to die from thirst
I feel the spirit I feel the sun the moon and the what's come undone...

He hides his sorrow taken from him in prison of glass Like a plague of consumption consumed within sparks of unrest
To live each moment of intoxication captured by a noose encased in embodiment This nebulous distinction wrapped between pride and conceit
A man his own enemy of starvation given thirst to compensate remorse For who was he to have no control his life overtaken in drawn image
The devils advocate of essence surrounded by the stench of purity Upon horror of realisation to consummate imposing mastery of the seas flowing in alcohol
"And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible." 1 Corinthians 9: 25 KJV

| ON THE DARKER SIDE OF LIFE...... Posted: 3/22/2006 1:29:19 AM | I could tell right from the start she didn't know where she was going how near and how far too much on her mind trouble is on the way she thought she was clever thought she was running out of time but I've known from birth
that the eyes never lie
a weapon of mercy in her hand ready to strike but I uncovered her plan I felt her heart beating so close to mine I just saved her life yet I somehow found mine
the touch of her breast on my chest as I held her felt like a gift unexpected the smell of her breath the scent of her hair that feeling follows me everywhere
I lifted her hands up toward the sky told her that I cared please girl choose life through tears she smiled and whispered I know then like a whirlwind she had to go
If I could go back in time I would make one change while I was holding her I would gently turn the page...
