The reason why Flair is still wrestling today is that the WWE does not have the big names today as they did of yester year..They need all the help they can get now...
Also with fans they always respect tradition (old school)and who better than with Ric Flair..I have been following wrestling since I was 4 years old the first time I went to maple leaf gardens in toronto..I fell in love with it ever since..He is one of the very few top rated wrestlers never to have taken steroids...Just look at his body even 25 years ago...He was never big or really defined......

Well it's obvious that age isn't a factor for him then. Only seen him in action live once. Even then it was in a 6 Man Tag Match

he has the best promos as he just throws himself into them. Love when he flips out and starts dong elbow drops and kicking the ropes and throwing his jacket..he is purely entertaining

The only proof needed that Flair should still be around was the TLC match a while back with Edge. I personally didn't think he still had it in him, but I was proven wrong.

So for all the haters, I give you a patented Ric Flair titty chop as I yell

I used to work in the biz...best match I was ever involved in(and there were many) was Funk vs. Abdullah the Butcher...25 minutes of carnage AND I took the piledriver. Respect the elders in the game...they're a dying breed. A man like Verne Gagne could wrestle for 45 mintues straight keeping fans on the edge of their seats with nary a high spot in sight...unless you call a Judo roll a highspot.

Flair is one of the reasons wrestling survived during the 80's when McMahon nearly buried it....along with the XFL and his bodybuilding thing...respect the man.

The greatest of alltime. Always my fave. There is no better showman. He's earned the right to do whatever he wants after so many legendary years of greatness.

Question for you:

Who owns the copyrights to: "WWWWWWWWoooooooooooooo"? lol

I wonder if my 8year old would stop shouting that all thru the house on any given day?

Geeze, tell me it retires when he does

I think wrestlers that wrestle way past their prime are like sports players playing way past their prime, they look like a shadow of what they once were. I'd rather go out ontop of my game, then to go out looking like a shadow of waht I once was. Guest apperences are fine, like what Hogan does, but doing it full time when you are way past your prime just makes you look all used up when you perform.

Ric Flair is one of the better talkers in the WWE. They really use his lengthy history well to exploit his microphone skills. I'm amazed that he's still going strong. He had been around forever when I was a kid.
