ust know that most men who seek out older women do it for one thing, and that's sex. I don't have one friend, including myself, who's been with an older woman and considered anything becoming of it more than just rolling between the sheets and having a good time. It's just not what we're after. I know there are exceptions to this, but it's obvious in society this isn't the norm. The norm is younger women with older men.
Also, that "young stud" who you fell in love with for his performance and sexual appetite might not be ready to be pulled out of the pasture just yet and retired.
This always cracks me up. I think this is the jaded man's comeback to a woman's claim that younger women only want them for their money. Can you imagine if we told an older man this same thing? " Be careful guys. Younger women are only after you for sex. They just want to have a good time with you, rolling around between the sheets and move on to the next one." Right.
LOL! Besides, there is no norm of younger woman with older man. The "norm" is that most people settle down with those close to their age, within a few years. A big age difference is outside of the norm.
I really couldn't care less who people choose to date, but the mudslinging and name calling is a bit much. It is coming from both sides. I have dated older men and younger, and all of them were incredible human beings and I have fond memories of all of them. | |

As a 48 year old woman - I've got a career - been married - want a relationship - but till you find "the one" - those younger guys can be a lot of fun- and who says they can't be "the one".....It beats waiting to hear from a guy my own age - even when they say they want a normal woman - we all know that's not what they mean-they mean a model gorgeous, stick skinny,20 year old that they can parade around in front of their friends ....otherwise there would be a lot more successful hookups going on here. | |

Im 41...i have dated men as young as 26....and well i really hate to admit it but I had alot more in common with him than alot of men my own age....I got married at 19 and was married for 19 years...so my dating skills are pretty much at the 23 year old age range I didnt realize the games that people play....and well had it not been for that young man i would have made alot of mistakes later on in my dating life...he actuallly sat me down and gave me dating lessons after a while...and occassionally i still call him for advice.
I have dated men up to 60 and well I had absolutely nothing in common with them either...Im retarded in that particular life skill. so for me im actually better off with eitehr a man that was in a long marriage/reationship where they were out of the dating pool for a long time as i was..or a younger man to be able to be on par so to speak.

I'm 41, single, never married, no children, all by choice. My career came first, and I'm happy where I'm at in my life.
I couldn't care less if he were 25 or 55, as long as there is mutual respect, compatibility, laughter and play time involved.
I feel great, look great, love life and enjoying sharing my time with those I have compatibility with, regardless of age.
You'll figure this out as you get older!

Since my marriage dissolved I'd say on average the women I've dated have been 10-12 years younger than me. I seem to just click better with women in their early to mid-30's.
I could not see myself dating a woman who is older than me. I'm 43 and there is no way I could see myself dating someone who is 50. | |

I work, I pay my bills, I have a place to live (on my own, no one's basement, thank you)I love to hang out and act retarded, get tattoos and piercings and party like a rockstar when work and kids permit, it just seems guys my age or older are not into the things I'm into;
Honestly, I don't know ANY 40 year old guys that want to play paintball or go out in the woods and scare the crap out of themselves over some made up ghost stories or abandoned houses; do you?

I am 30, shes 27,,, we have 3 kids and 9 years together, I will never know why,, the guy isnt even legal drinking age, washes dishes for a living.. Comon,, crazzy eh,, she never had any complaints,, Just odd.. I am still in shock.. I am tryn to figure out how hes going to pay the bills.. such is life,,,

I have also found that when I'm out, it's a younger man that initiates conversation w/ me. I have spotted guys my own age and waited to no avail. LOL
I have to admit, the sex is great, but if your looking for long term love... you need to weigh the odds. | |

I believe that I may have read somewhere in a medical report that a womans fertility goes down hill rapidly after 27-30 years of age, and that bearing children after the age of 30 runs much higher risks of complications | |

Because I was involved in a Realtionship for a year he was 41 and didn't know in his life in which direction he was going nor actually how to get there for an example he lived about 20 minuted from his job and complained about how he didn't like it nor was he happy with his job in fact he kept on telling me that he needs a better one. He had a degree in Business as a Underwritter at UGA and a Master Degree matter of fact so tell me I really didn't understand this concept. I also have dated someone that was 13 years younger than me and never had that problem:
I have a strong sex drive and I needed someone that can keep up with me but not only was just the sex is was the bond, friendship, knowing they know what you are wanting and can return the favor unlike some of the realtionships that i have been in that some of the men were from 30- to 44
Its all based upon the way they were brought up , Maners, Displined, Hygene, Personality Skills, And How Well They Can Treat There Lady. Hell I was Married for 6 years he was 21 and at the time I was 27 so Age is Just a Number!

Exactly. Most I've met my age or older are too...I don't know, settled, intense and sometimes extremely bitter if they're divorced (or just out of a LTR) and judgemental about anyone who doesn't share their way of life. Some also use the excuse of being over 30 for gaining weight and not staying in shape. Not for me...I like to have fun and stay active. | |

I get asked out by younger men mostly because I enjoy taking care of myself, enjoy all the latest fashions, love cool music and like doing fun things and sports. Guys my age and older don't have the same interests as I do and most are looking bad for their age and don't care what they look like. The worst thing is, is these fat ugly bald out of shape men think they should have hot women.  If that's the case then I might as well put on 300 pounds start wearing spandex and let myself go. I had older boyfriends(one of 4 years) who lied to me did not want children with me but had their own, older men have all treated me like shit.
