I think of Chapelle in the movie 'Undercover Brother'. Hilarious movie!!!! Who could be more white than Neil Patrick Harris?

And my favorite part at the end where the compound blows up in a massive explosion and as the people at the bottom of the cliff cower below, just a couple of pieces of plywood fall at their feet.

Just look at Larry David's work on "Curb".

You'd think a joke that relates to the Shoah would be a tough sell, but in the hands of a great comedic mind it can be hilarious......

The fourth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David's HBO comedy series, is over, but people are still talking about its second-to-last episode, "The Survivor," which upends traditional views of everything from adultery to the afterlife. The episode's centerpiece is a dinner party celebrating the renewal of Larry and Cheryl's wedding vows. Colby Donaldson, one of the stars of the reality series Survivor and a friend of Larry's rabbi, captures the attention of family and friends with his stories of deadly snakebites in the Australian outback. Suddenly, a withered man with a glass eye interrupts. "Let me tell you, I was in a concentration camp. You never even suffered one minute in your life compared to what I went through," says Solly, a friend of Larry's father. The conversation quickly devolves into a competition:

COLBY: We had very little rations, no snacks.
SOLLY: Snacks, what are you talking snacks? We didn't eat, sometimes for a week, for a month....
COLBY: Have you even seen the show?
SOLLY: Did you ever see our show? It was called the Holocaust!

With civility out the window, each of them shouts, "I'm a survivor!" "I'm a survivor!"

I liked when Larry went to Heaven and managed to piss off his guardian angels. Only Larry.

Political correctness is thought control, and its that simple. I hate the concept with a passion.

Somtimes people will say and do stupid things, but thought still shouldn't be regulated. None of us have the right to be unoffended.

I'm looking forward to the further development of IPTV, cause the FCC and other thought Nazis have no power over it. People should be able to say or watch what ever content they want

I wonder why political correctness doesn't apply to Obama? It is funny that Clinton is now being held to account for what she says.

Political correctness?...hard to believe free speech once ruled the day here...not so much anymore.

Oh I don't know...I'm just a typical white person. I've never felt the need to take my family to a church setting, so my wife and kids could be indoctrinated in racial racism. Being typical it's hard for me to understand that value in doing that.

It doesn't take much to please me.

Hey, we all have our opinions and I guess there's no requirement for them to have a basis on fact, reality, nor clarity.

Yeah, it's probably best that you don't try to explain further because that last try made less sense than the first. But I like you Neffer man, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum. It takes diffrent strokes to move the world.

IMHO, 'All In the Family' is tame compared to some of the shows now. Yes, I do believe it would be run in present day. Because it makes white middle class men appear racist and that is what the media feeds on. Anything which creates controversy.

Something bypassed me though. How did the song 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' get associated with gays? Just curious.

I love the way the song is done in the movie 'Face Off'! Cool

Political correctness is not only about TV, It`s an attack on the right thinking people of the world,

Isn't labelling one point of view "right thinking" what political correctness is supposed to be all about?

"Political correctness" does not support equallity. If Obama was fully white and defended a spiritual leader who shared any of the political leanings of the KKK, his credibility would be gone.

However he's not, so he's not going to be taken as "Black David Duke". On the contrary; he will get away with passing himself off as the next Martin Luther King.

Mccain will win the White House, so the infighting between dems is moot; but don't worry. Mccain is a frickin Liberal Rino...so you'll have a friend in the White House anyway.

Jedi Girl, you have a good point on how the media feeds on an exposed white racist. But Archie Bunker was a bigot that everyone loved and in that respect I don't think the show would survive today. Also, especially in the earlier years Edith was very submissive to Archie: Running to the kitchen and back to get him a beer or doing all of the cooking for him. That would not fly today.

I remember seeing a rerun a few years back. Archie and Meathead were discussing the early cave men. I can only paraphrase how the discussion went but in his 'briliance' Archie described how the cave man would hunt and his wife would cook the meat. Meathead asked him what about the cave men who didn't hunt but cooked the meat. Archie said "well them must have been your first fags". NO WAY would that happen today on any of the networks. The writers of that show were brilliant. They brought out the ignorance of racism and bigotry with great comedy.

Another example of PC on TV: Seeing a rerun of Three's Company is as rare as All in the Family. A few years ago the local fox channel was carrying 3's Company. I thought this is great, I haven't seen the show in ages. I remember finding it strange to see a character (Mr Roper) openly making fun of gays because of years of having PC crap shoved down our throats on tv. Well it lasted only a week and the show was pulled...for obvious reasons.

AMEN!!!

Montrealguy, I liked what you said about 'Blazing Saddles'....a classic. Probably one of the few things we totally agree on!

"The sheriff is a ni'r"....That is one of the best written comedic scenes of all time.
