Age is a number. I have enjoyed the company of people of all ages all my life. You must judge the individual by their character, not their age. I have met people that are much older that I feel quite comfortable with, likewise with children. Age is just a number people, not fair to assume anything about a person because of their age

This is too funny...
I was just wondering myself about a feller whose age keeps going down...
First he was 48... then he went down to 44.... and well now he is 39....

I am not sure but i also think he was gettin shorter... each time he changed age...

I am wondering is there anythin else that is getting smaller

Personally for myself... one lie is too much... it is best to be honest and straight forward

Anyhow I'll keep tabs to see what else shrinks on this profile....

I just signed on to POF (already got the acronym down) and thought this was an interesting vein of brain dumping. I don't take a good photo and my number is 49 so that doesn't go over well with the younger set. But people keep telling me I look in my 30s. One gal said that, except for my eyes (wrinkles, etc.) I looked 19! I didn't know whether to kiss her or tell her I had to borrow the car! Anyways, honesty is the best policy. And I will get my photo up online as soon as the Hollywood retouchers get finished with it!! that will take some time.

Smile buddy, even if it highlights the wrinkles. P.S. I'm in awesome shape and you younger girls (basically everyone on this site!), you should know that "I'm not as good as I once was but I'm as good once as I ever was!" And I know how to take care of you all better than you are imagining right now. ha ha

Has anyone ever told someone they look old for their age or look their age. People look their age or older, no exceptions.

i would say that the amount of guys that lie about their age is directly proportional to the amount of women that lie about their weight.

so it kinda evens out.

In POF it happens a lot. Guys who pass themselves off as 10 to 15 years younger than their actual age. What we can't tell??????

Never had to lie about my age, for I still look the same as when I was in my twenties thats only if I don't save my chin hair only place I have gray hair. But whats up with people having multiple pictures how does one know what is the most recent and sometimes they do not even resemble that one.

well my birth date says I will be 56....my boys will tell you Im more like 6 going on 40...lol.... just dont know what to make of it....

I see now point in lieing about age as it becomes clear quickly for some....but I ahve met several from this and other sites that will say they have deleted a year or five from their age.. and others within a year or too of mine and I get told Im too old!

Why lie about your age? What will it prove?

People that do that have a complex about themselves

Well, then IMHO - THOSE are the people you want to stay away from?

Actually, I think there are more women than men that lie about their age. There is one in particular in BC that says she is 39 when in fact she is 43.......said she didn't want to miss out on the younger guys that might think 43 is too old for them, LOL.

There's a fellow on here that I asked the whole lying about the age question too (said 37 to his 45 YO) and he said it was so he could get past some of the womens 'restrictions'.

Now in my mind, if a person has any restrictions set that is their choice and should be repected. It is not the place of the 'liar' to get around that.. and what does that prove in the long run? Do you always lie if a relationship starts? Do you tell them that you thought they were so.. blah, blah.. that you lied just to meet them?
If I find someone has lied to me about such a simple thing, then it makes me wonder what happens when times get tough...
Be who you are.. and enjoy it!

Not me I'm just about 33 and proud of it. People say I look a lot younger which is awesome, lol.
We must remember that this and other sites are only a tool to meet people. You can meet just as many liars, cheats and weirdos in a bar as on here. We DO have a better opportunity to develop our own screening process to weed out those liars, cheats and weirdos on here. Myself I've jumped into bed with a bevy of good looking girls who talked a good game(the irony is the believed their own lies) and ended up getting burned. I've met a few stalkers on here as well and after a cup of coffee or a walk they won't leave you alone.
So due to this I have a policy to chat with a person for a few weeks to a month at least. If they need to meet and pressure me to meet before that I now believe that there isn't much to them and their personailty will only carry them for the short term.
After chatting with someone for about a month I will meet in a neutral location for coffee and I will date them old school style for at least another month to see how they behave in social situations and to get to know them better to make sure if we do the punker nu nu that it is with someone that won't burn me, lol.
Again I say use this site as a screening process against those liars, cheats and weirdos. Well the bad ones at least cause I'm a weido but I'm harmless, lol.

WOW what a pleasure to FINALLY meet a GUY who understands this policy,... most guys get their bun in a knot if you want to "get to know them" via chat or MSN for a bit first.
I have always said, and maintain it, as NO ONE has proven me wrong YET ( hope springs eternal) ,..... give someone long enough and they WILL eventually hang themselves. Liars can never hold up their end of the bargain,... it is simply too difficult to remember them all and the idiosyncrasies.

OT: That said, I LOVE all the people who think I am 5-7 years younger than I am. Thanks y'all! hehheh

I have no problem with my age. If I knew I was going to last this long, I would have taken better care of myself! I'll probally always be about 25 in my head though. I feel fortunate to be in fairly decent shape with all the milage..................I lie when a woman wants me to guess her age. ALWAYS ALWAYS guess 5-10 tens under boys. You can take that from experience! Woman don't always want the truth! he he he

YOU were so old looking 20 years ago, weren't you ????????????

(no wonder you haven't had a date in 15 years ! )

To each their own.....

I love my age and wouldnt change it for the world. I laugh when I hear (or read) that women want someone younger than me... GO FOR IT. This is an awesome age, chock full of energy, wisdom, experience, STAMINA, confidence, understanding.

Liars lie... let em, they always get found out in the end. I agree with an earlier poster that I bet it's the women who lie more about their age on here.

And to the 33yr old above. Screen away brother but I say you are wasting a ton of valuable time. I say, lets meet NOW (of course in a safe, neutral place) and see if we have any real world commonality... ANYONE can like someone online, because they are basically making that person up.... think about it

yah I agree with Spaz.......it doesn't take long to decide after a few instant messenger/phone sessions to figure out if there is reason to meet. Why waste eons talking to someone that after you meet, there's no chemistry, whether it be a romantic, or a friends thing?

Spaz is the ultimate ladies man..... How could one question this? Only a real man could pull off a hat like mine baby
