If I like some one, I make a request to please her, and if I dont, still I would thank her of the facts and beg for being excused but I wont lie or hide.
It is we men who compell or create a situation compelling the woman to accept or reject us. 95% of the woman by the grace of mother nature, has always been sufferer and she does for the family, while we men think we are great and we deserve better. I ask my gender mates, how many of us have taken the pain of understanding the pain of our own kids when they were not able to speak up.
If any one doesnot agree, please question me with your logics I will try to answer to convince you of the truth. | |

Posted: 9/16/2007 1:05:39 PM | LOL this whole thread is just too funny. I certainly have NEVER lied about my age I just don't see any benifit in it at all. I mean grow up. Yes I have shocked people when I tell them my age but I think it is because I am such an active person and they seem to think anyone over 50 has to have one foot in the grave or something. I am in good shape for 52 and yes I can keep up to guys half my age BUT it takes me a lot longer to recover than it use to.
I think the question here should be HOW FAST do you dump a guy that starts a relationship with a lie?? My answer -- the faster the better.

Its all well and good for some if they believe they are getting away with it. Not sure how silly one feels when they get caught. All I know is, I find out someone lies about something like their age....I loose respect. Then i wonder, what is the defining line of what this person will lie about and what they won't lie about.
I understand why people do it on this site. Mail perameters determine who can contact you and people use them...for a reason. So, to skirt under the age line, people lie. Its our personal choice as to who we feel we want in our life, whether your life experiences will be identifiable with a prospective person because age can play a large part. Example: For me to identify with someone of 20 years old. What could we possibly have in common?
Fudging your age for whatever your personal gain, is to find someone you are wanting as far as physical attributes and the silly perception that someone older is all washed up, undesirable sexually....unworthy. Virility is some mens motivation. Men in general want younger woman. Younger women in general do not want an older man. The games continue on.
I've dated a few men off dating sites who have lied about their age. I would have dated them spite their age. I don't think to highly of them now. | |

BTW- I personally know 3 women who have profiles up on POF tonight and they are all
lying about their age.Of that 3 women,2 state they don't smoke when I know they do.
Lady 1 says she is 62.I was at her 70th.birthday party last OCT./07
Lady 2 says she is 52.I know she is at least 58.Her profile non smoking,she smokes.
Lady 3 says she is 48.I know she is at least 55.I went to high school with her.Same grades.
Her profile non smoking-she smokes.Saw her today at a ball field puffing away.
So it's not only men who stretch the truth on POF.

There's more so called "athletic" profiles on here that don't even come close to that definition........it's mind boggeling........and a waste of peoples time.

Alas time diminishes too for I have more years behind me than ahead of me.
More importantly why would any man be so foolish and lie about his age? The truth will be known eventually, for example when completing the application form for marriage licence or when those old age pension cheques start arriving in the mail.
BTW evidently 'X' lied about her age.

I had one bloke messaging me and he must have not looked in the mirror, the hair was black as can be and the mustache was loaded with grey.
Blokes are attractive with the grey coming in naturally and I would rather see that then the failed attempts at being something that they are not!. Lies about anything suggest they are not comfortable with themselves - run for your life!!! | |

I lied about my age, kinda. When I started my profile here I put in the right year but I said my birthday is January 1, just to hasten the registration process. So if you go by my astrological sign, I'm one of the few guys who lied to make himself appear older than he actually is. | |

Posted: 10/14/2009 12:52:29 PM | I lied about my age in this profile. The year and month are accurate. It was only in the interest of protecting my identify from theft that I changed the date, only by a few days, after ensuring that my astrological sign remains correct.
I am do not subscribe to horoscopes and matching relationships based on astrology, but I do recognize that some people do.
I met a fascinating women who used the horoscope and the Chinese horoscope as criteria of who to contact.
So I believe if someone uses age and such criteria for correspondence it would not be in my best interest to be dishonest.
Moreover the truth of age will likely become evident sooner or later, so why risk to be caught in a lie about your age? Deception is not a good footing for a lasting relationship.
No worries ladies, if we hook up and have a relationship I'll be sure to invite you to my birthday party. | |
