| Re: BEST POSSIBLE JOB Posted: 4/15/2004 11:31:41 AM | | Well i just quit the best job around, actually sold the business. I wasn't part of the deal but for8-9 years I owned a Secluded backcountry snowcat/lodge, I paid my guides $250/day and all i did was quality control{ski knee deep powder all day80-90 days a year, plus worked as fishing guide in the summer, off season i do fireworks shows all over the place}.Worst part of the job was waking up @4:30 to go do avalanche control, Now i work for an enviromental construction company that does bomb disposal with remote control machinery | |

| Re: BEST POSSIBLE JOB Posted: 4/16/2004 7:58:13 AM | Ok right now the best one i can think of is one that i had for a little while it just didnt pay enough. I was a Tour Guide on different cruises arround the world, and in different places. I did that when i was a travel agent but the pay isnt hardley anything. Other than that i had a blast. I don't know if i can think of anything better than that right now!!

| Re: BEST POSSIBLE JOB Posted: 4/16/2004 12:00:26 PM | hey trus.. i did that too....i worked for the cruise lines as well. it was the best job too. I could have gone to the carribean but i would have been gone for 8 months.. not see my hubby....theni got preganant then that was it. but 9 is right..if the gov was smart enough to pay mothers to be stay at home mothers..it would be like the 50's again....dad gone whilt the wife raises kids and is a mommmy. But there is a form of it.... called assistance....but most ppl here abuse it dont need it...cheat it whle ppl who are begging for it canr get it. So u see the canadian gov and the american are screwed in each in thier own way. im so luckt to never have nedded it but i get furious wheni see someone fesh off the boat collect.. live with 20 family members and work under the table...it pisses me off...
hey i know!! ill be a detective and track down all the assholes who cheat the system!! | |

|
| Re: BEST POSSIBLE JOB Posted: 4/16/2004 5:29:57 PM | | Yep, the whole public assistance thing goes way out of proportion. I know people getting government checks for being illiterate, having ADD, raising children with ADD, and one person is just too lazy to work. Public assistance needs to be restructured so that those who attempt to make something of their lives but fall on hard times can get some help. | |

| Re: BEST POSSIBLE JOB Posted: 4/16/2004 7:21:06 PM | | id like to own storage sheds and billboards. they cost like 25$/month. and they probably wouldnt take that much to upkeep. and u could just sit on your ass and do nothing all day. | |
|
| Re: BEST POSSIBLE JOB Posted: 4/19/2004 3:26:57 AM | the best possible job for me is still being a beer taster in all the pubs!! ;)
