I don't believe in destiny or that we have someone we aren't meant to be with. I do believe that relationships and love, like life, are often transient and impermenant. And believe that's okay. I believe we are meant to learn and to love many because we gain from each of those experiences and if we allow it to each of those experiences makes us better more loving people.
Sometimes we find a soulmate but we find in this lifetime we aren't compatible, we are on different paths. That doesn't make it any less vaid or any less "true" or any less worthy of a chance. It also doesn't mean we are doomed to be unloved in this lifetime. It just means we must gain what we can from that love and move on to another.
I also believe that love does not a marriage make. Love doesn't make you compatible or a suitable lifemate. And losing soemone you thought was a lifemate does mean you were neccessarily wrong. It just means that people change and love changes.
Fighting change and the impermenent nature of life is futile and destroys hope just as believing in only one love and one soulmate destroys hope.
Soulmates are nothing more then those souls we encounter in this life that help us grow and become more and better then we were. Sometimes we grow through love and sometimes we grow through pain. Finding new love and new soulmates allows us to grow through pain and gives us hope that while love and happiness may not last neither does our hurt or our fear. We just have to have a little faith in ourselves and our ability to hope and love infinitely.

Unfortunately I have lost hope as well as faith. For me it's pretty hard to believe that love will come my way considering that I've been divorced twice! I wouldn't even date or marry moi!! Geeshhhhh!! Just take a boo at my photo and you'll understand why! | |
