| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/17/2007 11:38:26 AM | Well I think of average as size 16. As this is what I have heard is the most common size of North American Women and what I now wear. I was as big as size 22 so I don't really care what men think. They either like me as I am or they are not the right person for me. But since we are talking size...have the men ever had to account for how they answer this? I do believe that people list themselves as they are and as they wish to be...Really what does it matter? It is about finding the person that for reasons you both know make you love each other, hopefully care and treat each other well, and if lucky hopefully have a reasonably happy life together. So if we can color hair, change eye color or body parts...what the heck does it matter what we weigh ??? If you meet someone that has every other quality you desire and respect. What are pounds? This includes men and women? | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/19/2007 12:45:30 PM | interesting thread. i myself am a larger woman and i let everyone know that from the get go. i do this because i realize that not everyone will be attracted to my exterior. what i have learned though over the many years that i have been dating is that "abusive" "mean" and "cruel" can come in tall, handsome size and short , fat size. for me, its all about who that person is and how they make me feel. its amazing how someone who is kind and has integrity looks so incredibly attractive to me no matter what their reflection in a mirror is.
good luck to everyone on their search.

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/20/2007 4:54:29 AM | I have found that when women decide that they are average, it is because of their friends they hang out with Immagine a pack of Hippos at the zoo and they all look at each other and decide they are average !!!!! and they are .... with in their pack !! Observe the crowd at a dance..all the heavies sit together...no slim ones mixed in ... they, in defence of themselves would call her anorexic , but she is dancing and they are not, they are eating !!! | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/21/2007 8:57:34 AM | You know the weight thing is such a touchy subject. Ok so here is my take on all of it. Average weight is what you are comfortable at if you like you, You are average if you need to lose some weight then a few extra pounds. BBW (what does that stand for anyway. Some of us are happy with our weight it is not an issue for me dont like me move on . I dont think people who are looking for a thin person are shallow we like what we like. Personally I wont date a man who is better looking than me does that make me shallow , maybee it does but that is my choice I am allowed to have feelings about anything I want. So anyway to her she is average 5' 200 lbs pretty and fun and happy outgoing honest. the good qualities in her make her average because the good outweighs the bad. If you dont want a woman who is 5' 200 lbs put that in your profile I promise we big girls will leave you alone. There are so many things in this world to be concerned about why this all the time. Just because wee like that type of person though does not always mean that is who we fall in love with your perrfect girl could be one of those girls over 200 lbs. She could take care of you and love you like no one has. I am not being spitfull I agree we like what we like and I am not saying give big girls a chance I dont think shallow is even a useful word in this matter. Shallow is for people using other for thier money or what they can get from someone else. But always remember people are who they are on the inside not the outside. I might have big girl mentality but I have my weight to push around and anyway if it was not for us big girls the skinny ones would not look so good..... Meet the girl if you are not attracted to her move on I do....... | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/21/2007 6:13:14 PM | i think the reason why a lot of us put average on our profiles is because what we may think is average some one else might think is fat. or vice versa. average does not always mean 100 lbs and a size 0. not that there is anything wrong with that.. but we aren't all that lucky. as for myself.. yes i am a normal real woman.. i do have an area or two that i am working on. but thats just it.. im working on it. but im doing it for myself.. not for anyone else. i believe that you have to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with anyone else. and you know what jmille.. 200 lbs for a 5'9 or 5'10 woman doesnt always mean that theyre fat. could be all muscle. muscle weighs more than fat | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/23/2007 6:14:13 AM | yeah, it's really interesting how men (and women actually) assume that fat women are interested in whomever shows the least bit of interest in them because they "must be desperate". never once does it enter their mind that a fat women could actually find no attraction to a particular man, or even that, god forbid, they have high standards for whom they choose to be with. | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/23/2007 6:46:09 AM | | We all have our own preferences...women are way too hard on themselves....men just really don't notice those minor imperfections....it's definately a woman thing....besides different strokes for different folks...God didn't make no junk | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/23/2007 8:59:37 AM | Average is how we percieve ourselves. I am overweight not a problem for me dont care if it is a problem for others. I like me everything about me even my faults which by the way when I do make mistakes they are perfect ones... Instead of weight choices we need ones for are you happy with yourself,Need to lose weight or need to gain only 3 choices would solve this issue.. Please though stop asking women to put thier weight on thier profile it will never happen. Be thankful if they have thier real age there..... Well anyway that is my 2 cents on this issue maybee only 1 cent who knows.... | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/23/2007 9:36:43 AM | | Well, weight is a very touchy issue for almost everyone. I think it is important to consider, however, that a body's composition is more of an indication of "average", "athletic", "a few extra pounds".... If a person goes to the gym regularly... their body mass may be considered "overweight".... however.... they could probably bench press you. Not every individual can be easily placed on an ideal weight chart with accuracy... I mean... according to a chart, Arnold Schwartzineger (I know that is totally misspelled) would be considered overweight. | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 2/26/2007 7:26:06 AM | I consider average weight something I havent been in a long time! lol
I'm between the "few extra pounds" and BBW...too bad they dont have a "quite a few extra pounds". lol I do put BBW for myself, though. I also have very current pictures and a full body shot. I love who I am, and I find that men who see that you are confident, and not hung up on your body-state, overlook it a lot more than if you were to be deceitful about it.

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 3/1/2007 4:50:12 PM | | There are some women at at 5' anything that weigh around 20 that are average. It all depends on there body type. I am 5'3" and weigh around 170. I am not average but not fat, I don't wear plus size yet so am I fat, not really am I average, probably because most women that are average are a little larger. My daughter weighs around 200 and wears small pants than I do, she is very muscluar. It just depends on your body type. But alway be honest, if you are a size 16 or 18 say so. | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 3/1/2007 6:34:16 PM | | I have NEVER placed a forum post before, but this one caught my eye. Here goes; most sites ask your height, NOT your OPINION of your height. Same should go for the weight, no average, or plus a few pounds. Just say it!! That way, no surprises when you meet. | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 3/2/2007 8:42:02 PM | | Everyone sees themselves better then what they are. We all have an image of what we are and what we look like. Most people in the world think they are good looking. When they look in the mirror they see what they want to see. Just because you don't see that doesn't make you wrong or right or them wrong or right. Your question will never have an answer because everyone sees themselves differently and will have a different answer. I think if weight is an issue for you probably online dating isn't a good place to find your dream girl. Weight is to open and depends on the person's body type. What is good for one is to big for another. | |

| what do woman consider average weight? Posted: 3/3/2007 8:03:42 AM | I understand jmille23 and a few others I’ve read. YOU are not attracted to FAT! PERIOD. That is your preference and it needs no apology. I can’t do UGLY….sloppy, bad teeth, poor grammar….or STUPID. Sometimes stupid is cute as hell but I cringe because stupid is like kryptonite and I have to pass/run!! So I get you loud and clear on the "fat-thing"!!! We all have things that turn us off and I don’t see that we need to apologize for that. But, you see, I won’t “know” how ugly someone is though until I speak with them. That’s when TRUE ugly comes out. Liars are UGLY! I'm a big girl and I have never lied about it. WHY WOULD I? Do I really think if I lie to myself it will change how I look to others? I think people equate overweight = sloppy and unkempt.
So for the record, I DO take care of myself, I work out at least 3 times a week and I have a personal trainer. I have more energy than most thin people I know. I still play sports and although I’m working my “weigh” down the scale in the most healthful fashion, I don’t use that to “sell” myself here because hey, WHAT IF I AM NEVER THIN? I should find someone who loves me AS IS! My hair is always done and my make-up is perfect. I dress for success and look good no matter what I wear. I represent the big girls WELL! Hell, many THIN women want to be ME. I make no excuses. I am fat and although I’d like to wear some clothes that only certain body types wear I am not crazy, I dress appropriately for my size. Leave some outfits for the thin girls, hey if you got a flat stomach then flaunt it....YOU DESERVE TOO! If you have rolls hanging out of your shirt then don't be surprised when someone wants to slap some butter on it. (that's just NOT pretty)
Tell the truth boys and girls and let's play nice, nice okay?!
