| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/6/2007 3:08:46 AM | after nearly being killed on my harley and a costly divorce ruined my credit a compassionate banker gave me a loan to buy a bike kit and i proudly own a custom harley that me and my harley buddy built...... she is brash, strong, beautiful, loud, sexy, and all chromed out...just like the women who ride with me.
this bike is a statement and extension of who i perceive myself to be and if i appear to be a bit stuck on myself about the bike , the culture, the myth, the hype, and yes the lovely women that are attracted ........ so what .
harleys are the first true thunder bikes.... and nothing turns the heads of people more than the sound of a group of bikes pulling up to the bar....are we childish and pretenders, ***holes and greasers.... yes we are the good, the bad and the ugly
like it or not , some women think us longhaired biker types are what trips their trigger....... they think we are free spirits and want to join the fun, even if it is adult play acting.......you want to talk about false lifestyles and wannabes look at all the urban bull riding rodeo cowboys, middle class gang-banging hip hopp thugs, air guitar playing kareoke singers ....... i will still be in the wind, in my own personal heaven, hopefully with a woman that thinks i am a hot harley man

| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/6/2007 10:32:58 AM | I dont think it matters really what you ride,as long as you're rideing...
I couldn't agree more! I have owned many different brands of bikes, I just now prefer my Harley.
I have well placed and hidden tattoos, and pierced ears and had the long hair/pony tail (cut it short last week). Thing is, I had these before the Harley. I don't portray any image I am not. Under all that I am a great guy, but it does tend to give off some bad first impressions to some women. Then again some women love that bad boy look.

| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/8/2007 1:13:50 PM | | sugarcoat.....you would look wonderful on the back of a harley or on your own bike... i have often said that my bike may kill me but she will never cheat on me or leave me.....this is true but this is also a statement of bravado also.....i am somewhat content to ride alone but for me the complete and most fullfilling harley experience would include a nice , vibrant, funlovin woman to ride with and go home to...... | |

...They seem to be a mid-life crisis/ego cure to many people (not all). Yikes, that means my "crises" started when I was 15. Owned a bike for nearly all of the 36 years since then.

| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/9/2007 5:24:07 PM | i think you are a little misguided. good guys ride Harleys...very good guys my brother in law is a Sgt with the OPP...rides a harley for work as well as has three at home in the garage..

|
| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/9/2007 5:37:23 PM | LOL, I notice around my town some guys that ride Harley's. The ones with no seat on the back obviously are meant to ride alone (no girlfriend). :-) I dated someone for a long time who rode a Harley and also had a pickup truck. He was a really good guy. | |

| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/9/2007 8:59:35 PM | The ones with no seat on the back obviously are meant to ride alone (no girlfriend). :-)
Ahhhh, but not always the case, I know many women that ride on the back of thier mans scooter without a seat. (not long distance) They prefer to ride on the fender, something about vibration. This is no lie.
Even though I have a full seat, I've had past GF's comment about enjoying the vibration. LOL

| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/11/2007 6:53:00 AM | | Hey Guy, I have a T-shirt that has that logo..........and that says it all | |
|
| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/11/2007 7:32:50 AM | There are two men who drive Harley's.
The guy who lives the traditional "Harley" lifestyle.
The middle age guy who wants to live the "Harley" lifestyle on weekends because the Harley has now replaced the Porsche 911 Turbo as the mid-life crisis vehicle.

| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/12/2007 12:48:54 PM | Love it !!! the description of the women who rides with you. There definately is a connection to the motorcycle man, and the motorcycle women who ride with them.
I believe that most peoples ego's are between their legs, man or woman,( and I don't mean that unkindly) when you ride a Harley all is right in this world. I ride a Harley as well, and experience no better sensation than when I've got it straddled while I'm putting the pavement under my wheels. I'm sure men are similar in that sense!! LOL!!! What's the hype anyways.....?? Just !@#$ing enjoy!!!!
|
| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/14/2007 10:06:06 PM | Destinyrules.... ....You got to be Kidding...You and your EXERCISE BIKE!!!!! All I can say is get on it and ride ...I'll meet you down the road. OH...you will need a Beer after that or a DIET DRINK!! Your Choice. Renegade | |

|
| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/14/2007 10:31:22 PM | this is an interesting thread ... i'm in agreement with ride period and depending on who you are or your style or budget your style will come through. to the 30 - 45 year old women who harley seems to market to, take some time to understand biking from a rider's perspective. harley has watered down performance, continued to lead in styling, but i think created the custom-bike market by missing the market of people who want both. if you've ever riden a "new" road king you'll find it can't get out of it's own way ... that is until you've invested up to a stage 3 screamin' eagle kit ... to the newbie who dreams of catching chicks it's a great buy ... to a biker it's a boring bike with style until he "fixes" it.
i have a harley and a custom kawi cop bobber with a suicide shifter and a look and sound that is awesome .... the custom gets all the looks and i love when a tire biter sees me cruise in on it and says "wow, that's the coolest fat-boy i've ever seen" ... i laugh almost to tears ... the harley i drive is the street glide and i love the styling ... but so do the other thousand that ride the same thing ... so, morale of the story is to be careful being too specific on brand ... love the harleys and the guys who ride them, but know a rider when you see him ... you might be surprised to know that your bad boy has a little more in his brain to love some bikes other than harleys too ...
|
| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/15/2007 12:59:09 AM | | forgot to mention ... with the watered down v-twins needing special upgrades to perform, i think Harley-Davidson's new "club and lifestyle image" has created the custom bike market because their hard-core customers aren't as satisfied as they once were ... just an opinion, but if you want "real" performance and style ... you aren't driving one out of the showroom ... | |
|
| Men who ride Harleys Posted: 4/16/2007 10:55:05 PM | are real men,and can sugar coat me anytime.mmmmmm mmm good | |
