Simple answer to all those who feel soooo offended and act like it was biohazard/toxic waste .... CLEAN THE FRIGGEN' SHOWER..... a little Mr. Clean and it's all fresh.
From the numbers of people who freaked out, it would seem that not many bother to clean their tubs or showers . That is far more yucky to think about what might be growing in there, then to be worrying over a little urine going down the drain with soap and water.
I personally clean any tub or shower before I use it, unless I am certain the the last person using it cleaned it when they finished. I spray it down when I am finished too... prevents that soap scum and crud build up and eliminates the need for actual "scrubbing". It is called basic hygiene people and I taught it to my children.
We also have locks on bathroom doors. That prevents snoopy people from spying on others during "private moments."

2. If you pee at the beginning of your shower, the volume of shower water will wash away the pee many times over. The urine has no chance to stagnate.
3. The shower and the toilet both drain to the same pipe (eventually).
4. It's gross when you pee in the shower with the water off. Don't do this unless you're into this kind of thing. | |

Someone posted that it all ends up in the same place. True. It will eventually, if your plumbing drains into a sewer system. Not true, if you have a grey-water pit that drains into the earth. And not a good thing, if you or your neighbours have a well nearby that provides drinking and washing water.
For those who feel it's fine because the shower water and soap wash urine away... hopefully you have good water pressure because mine sure doesn't seem sufficient to wash away the soap scum. Urine is only sterile the moment it leaves the body. Any residue left on the tub or that ends up in the ground is no longer sterile. Come on, water and body soap alone don't sanitize surfaces or hospitals and hotels wouldn't need cleaning staff or disinfectants. | |

I tak e a shower each morning and a jacuzzi bath every night so I don't imagine I'm soaking in that much dirt. I don't pee in the shower so thats not an issue. The tub dries the jets and I run cleanner through it once a week. | |

oh yeah, i used to work in the steelmill and guys would come into the 15 man shower area and blow their nose out after they got wet. one guy enjoyed blowing it like a rocket onto the wall!!! when i saw him come in i knew what was going to happen.
