I filled out the "free profile at e-Harmony" and they have been sending me last chance offers ever since... I move them to the trash. -without looking. I have a few friends that have used other sites. We went out together for Valentines day (V.D. day for the sinics). They wanted to know where I was meeting people. "plentyof fish"!!! | |

Posted: 2/17/2006 7:18:04 PM | Yea, but only once, and I must say that I felt pretty ripped off... I really enjoy hanging out with the people I have met on this site. I have made so many friends since joining that I don't even consider paying for another site. About 48% of the people I hang out with are from this site, or through people I have met here. POF ROCKS!!!! I just want to wish everyone the best of luck on finding their fish. God Bless. | |

So I stupidly paid the $9.95 and I got like 5 messeges and they were all from men that were over 50 years old. I was so upset. But oh well, you live you learn. | |

I dated her... and that all... but when I was going to quit the site... they said they I would only have to pay half price to stay on... and I did for a few more month... but then I found POF... I haven't pay since... and you'll fine the same people here that you'll find at the pay site... | |

I have charts and statistics and know who joins what kind of sites, and which sites share their profiles, and who allows this and who allows that for free!
Hell, in fact I've even been paid to stay on a dating site because I brought so many paying customers on just to talk with me...and people on the site didn't want me to leave. Can you say....I just can't handle all the pressure or mail! I did! 
I've brought several people from those sites to this one too...(bad bad girl lol) and I can proudly say...I've canceled my paying subscription to all of them now, and haven't regretted it yet...  Thanks POF! | |

Posted: 2/17/2006 7:58:56 PM | I was on one site (that i didn't pay for) that sent me emails to my hot mail to tell me when I had mail from a member...I got about three...but when I logged onto the site it would say I had like 30 new messages...I guess the rest are spam????? Guess they don't realize they are making that mistake!!!

Posted: 2/17/2006 8:04:49 PM | To be completely honest, and done this online thing off and on for the past while, and I've always preferred LL. Don't get me wrong, I like POF, and I've met lots of good people on here....but I've always felt that the fact that just anyone can email me or IM me for free on here has less to do with the fact that I've grabbed their interest as much as they can mass market themselves for free. And some of those unsolicited IM's border on intrusiveness. At least on a site where you have to pay a couple of bucks to truly communicate with somebody, you have a greater sense going in that the other person (if they reply) is genuinely interested.
What I will say about this site, is that I get a kick out of reading the forums, and that more than one picture can be posted at once. That's a definite plus!
I'd be curious to know if anybody feels the same way? | |

You know if you go to your mail settings you can shut that off right???
I shut mine off because I find it annoying...as soon as the person hits enter it pops up and interupts whatever else you are doing....like IM'ing someone else!!!

I guess I should have been a woman, NOT!!!! haha Some sites charge men up to 50 dollars per month which is totally unfair. I always thought we were EQUAL. hehe At least I treat women as equals.
