I think we as a society have lost faith in relationships of any kind....
as much as we may not admit it to ourselves, we don't have faith that things will last, always one foot out the door, and at the first sign of trouble, we resign ourselves to the fact that we can't have happily ever after.
Thats why I believe cohabitation has become more popular. Why spend money on a ceremony of something that you really don't think will last till you die?
I myself have lived life, done everything I have wanted to so far. I am either waiting for the right man...or a time machine to send me back to a time where marriage was valued as an institution instead of scoffed at by society. And if you don't think its scoffed at by society, think about that the next time you hear a friend is getting a divorce or the latest hollywood couple has split, and your reaction to these situations.
I have seen how marriage really works. My grandparents were married for 69.5 years and my parents are going on 37 years. It is very rare to find that type of love these days. But as long as I have faith...and as long as I am honest with myself, then I will find the one who will give me that kind of love.

I may only be 37.5 years old, and never been married, and NEVER had a girlfriend... I have never kissed a girl or have ever been kissed either... Going to probably die a lonely old virgin...

38 yrs old, with parts of me in their triple digits... go ahead, click on the [view profile] link, I double-dog dare ya... and never married, no kids. ALMOST I suppose doesn't count, but before Medical Trauma #2 hit me square in the chest, the girl I was living with was the closest thing I ever experienced to marriage. To the point that I was eyeballing rings at the time...

I've had a handful of failed relationships since, but nothing that even remotely hinted at permanence.

36 -never married, no kids...
I hate they "why?" question.
I have made decisions in my life - good or bad- that have led me to where I am now. Which is exactly where I should be. I try not to do the what ifs...and if onlys...
"single" for two years this May and I know I am ready to venture out into the dating world because I am actually darn happy in my space, by myself, doing what I do...I wonder if anyone now can "fit in" as opposed to "wish I was not alone" . I actually like hanging out with plain old me.
Lord, does this mean I actually may have to GO ON A DATE soon?
How does that work?
we need a dating 101 for those out of the loop, closed off to blind date catastrophes and "hey have you met...?" scenarios.
where is that Dr. Phil book......................?????????

I've been engaged twice, but I honestly just said okay to be polite..lol. I don't agree with the institution of marriage.

I think that people can get along just fine without spending 20k to get a piece of paper that declares that you can now rob one another of your pensions and earnings when you break up. It's just silly in this day and age.

I know that I'm probably a downer, but that's how I feel anyway...

37, never married, no kids, look much younger than my age and feel much younger.

Would I like to get married? Yes, but to the right woman. I leave it in God's hands. I'm not trying to force it to happen. When it does, I'll be ready :)

Age is just a number.

Hi I'm 42 and never been married and never been even close. I find that yeah there are a lot of men out there that are divorced by the time they are in their early to mid 30's what's up with that anyway no staying power or what.

well i'm 32 now and not married yet... maybe i never will. i think i am part of a generation caught between what was and what will be. fewer and fewer couples are chosing to marry in todays society. many of those who do marry are saying their vows at a later age.....30 plus. as to why that is; well; i have my own ideas as to why and i won't bother anybody with them at this point...lol.
