| Walmart. Posted: 3/3/2006 5:46:58 PM | Wal-Mart is monopoly.
Who voted for Bush? Go and ask him to enforce anti-monopoly law.
I like cheap stuff in Wal-Mart. Very good quality and low price. I don't give a damn about exploitation in China. Outsourcing is very good for economy. Hi-tech is american way!
Losers should not have benefits just because they are Americans. They should work in Wal-Mart or McDonalds. But if you don't like it, then change it. Go and study. Make unions, enforce the law! Fight you cowards!

Would NEVER have guessed!
Outsourcing is very good for economy. Nonsense! Tell that to the 11,375 U.S. workers laid off in 2005 and the 16,197 workers laid off in 2004 because their jobs moved overseas.
One day may you reap what you sow!

|
| Walmart. Posted: 3/5/2006 4:22:05 AM | | Wal Mart sucks. They only hire part time workers. They pay low wages, and don't pay medical benefits, and they put smaller stores with better paying jobs out of business. And for those who missed it the first time "WALMART SUCKS"! Mall Wart | |
|
| Walmart. Posted: 3/5/2006 9:18:54 AM | | So do many many of our employers. One of the worst farces is factories that hire through Temp services only, so they don't have to pay you benefits, and the temp service takes more than 2/3rds of your pay. | |
|
| Walmart. Posted: 3/5/2006 11:01:32 AM | Wal Mart IS the Incarnation of the ANTI CHRIST
they should be destroyed and shut down --
When you see the overall effects on the community and the world maybe you will understand.
watch as your town closes all it family run businesses first,, and how MOM n POP And instead of watching 60 minutes on Sunday night they are working at Wal Mart for minimum wage stocking shelves and mixing paint. on Sunday night...
hey -- sorry your Grand Parents can't come over for Thanksgiving -- there greeting at Wal Mart......... need money to pay the lot fee..
Watch as your community closes mid level specialty stores,,, grocery, hardware, paint, clothing and sporting goods....and then you complain that so many store fronts are boarded up--- no one will invest in your community and your unemployment rises...
Oh housings costs are soaring --- but listen here -- NO ONE working at WAL MART can afford to buy a NEW house.... Now your town is run down -- no future and 4 new trailer parks are opened to house the Wal Mart staff....
This is not a stretch ,,,,and not a career building opportunity at Wal Mart........
Watch as the dynamic of your Mexican vacation changes,, when in the past you had rows and rows of quaint small specialty stores on an avenue -- you now have ONE HUGE MEXICAN Wal Mart or Sam's Club..... (this is reality in a paradise like Puerto Vallartta already)
Wal Mart is in BED with CHINA and the Republican Party in USA..... A new repackaged form of Slavery...................
In Tampa FL -- using a location near the Football Stadium as a center point there are 6 Wal Marts within a 5 mile radius,,, and more than 10 within 10 miles many are Super Centers.. The best grossing Wal Mart in USA was in Nearby Pinellas Park where one store did 168 million in revenue in ONE YEAR---- hey people that is over 3 million a week --- tell me it does not affect the local economy -----
Costco is not much better -- yes they pay better but who can trust someone who LIES to your face when the claim to be a "WHOLESALE CLUB" they sell NOTHING at Wholesale -- believe me NOTHING -- they just lie from the starting gate.
SO the big question is this;;;
What will happen of Wal Mart and US economy if China and Washington go to war (or brink of) over Taiwan ????????????
your all F****d !
Wal Mart is almost CULT -- beware--- SATAN lurks in those WALs

That's may be hard to believe, but this is true. Outsourcing is very good for economy. American way is hi-tech, banking and "owning". If you are not in this business then you are obsolete.
Why somebody in the US should get bigger salary then overseas? Because they are Americans? This is nonsense. This is dishonest. Somebody mentioned Christ here... so this is anti-Christian!
Do your job better and make more money.
P.S. If quality in Wal-Mart is so low, then why you shop there? Answer: because this is very good quality of goods! Prove: 8 of 10 Americans shops in Wal-Mart.
|
| Walmart. Posted: 3/6/2006 9:01:14 AM | Walmart has the best return policy I have ever seen. They are very good about returning things, even without a receipt. I have no complaints about how Walmart operates, and I do think they have good quality items.
Many people have mentioned slave labor, but I ask you, how many people shop at the Dollar Store, Buck or Two, Dollarama? These items are only a dollar because of over-seas cheap labor. It doesn't stop millions of North Americans from shopping there. We are going to shop wherever we can get the best deal..especially when our inflation is so high now and most people are just living paycheck to paycheck.

| Walmart. Posted: 3/6/2006 9:06:45 AM | Let’s be honest to ourselves:
The worst thing about Wal-Mart is monopoly. Now they sell cheap stuff, but as soon they will kill competitors, they will raise prices up. We don't want this.
Let’s fight and enforce anti-monopoly law!
P.S. All this crap about low-wages, made in China etc… go in any other store. The same “made in China”, the same low-wages, the same greedy owners… all is the same.

| Walmart must be stopped Posted: 3/6/2006 9:13:53 AM | Outsourcing has cost way more than 30,000 jobs in the last two years if your writing about USA --- people shop there for many reasons-- one being that all other options are now closed !!
the danger is that WAL MART is huge--
gross sales are greater than many countries GNP -
and to put things in perspective Wal Marts workforce in USA / CANADA is about 1.5 million which is near 5% of the entire population of CANADA...
Wal Mart in some markets can generate $1500.00 annually per person in an area.. each and every person ---
Don't you think there is some danger in those numbers too big -- too powerful --- they must be stopped they are the ANTI CHRIST
|
| Walmart must be stopped Posted: 3/6/2006 10:01:15 AM | Yes,, there are other options--- Target, Costco, BJ's etc.... Albertsons is a food chain in big trouble-- Outsourcing happens also because other nations do not compete at same levels- when someone will work at less than $1.00 per hour with NO retirement or any benefits it is an unfair advantage as to the final cost of product ... Actually when a wage approaches $1.00 many companies pull out for another source. At my first job in 1973 I was paid $1.25 per hour -- do not think I can survive on that now. So as you look for a bargain -- remember that child or woman working in deplorable conditions and barely making money to even eat... When your neighbor tells you that he lost his job to someone in India. Pakistan or elsewhere -- you should help him with some food or lodging- And when your employer tells you he hires a grad student from CHINA that will do your job for 1/3 your wage --- do not cry on us... The post is about WAL MART and that they are too big-- all the BIG BOX Superstores are guilty but none are in the league of WAL MART which is why this forum started I never commented on the FULL EMPLOYMENT of Canada just on her total population vs. the workforce of Wal Mart in USA/Canada--- as the DEVIL can masquerade as an Angel of Light -- there is nothing barring my opinion that WAL MART is an ANTI CHRIST | |
|
| Walmart must be stopped Posted: 3/6/2006 11:18:31 AM | WAKE UP BUDDY ==
exactly I am comparing the total human workforce of one company to the entire population of CANADA -- just a comparison of numbers as they are staggering....
how many cities in CANADA have a population of which WAL MART employs ??? maybe 6 that I can possibly think of --- let alone 1.5 million when only three of Canadas cities exceed the workforce at Wal Mart......Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal
WalMart employs a number near 5% od Canada's population and that would be 1/2 of 1 percent .5% of US population.. Work forces are different yes but the numbers are someting to fear...
There are more people working for Wal Mart in USA and Canada that are in the ARMED FORCES for both nations combined....
these are just facts and # comparisons

| Walmart must be stopped Posted: 3/6/2006 2:27:17 PM | Not sure why you continue to pick on Baja in this senseless way. Baja made simple analogies and not statistical studies. He did not set up a "post hoc" relationship as all he was doing was simply trying to have a reader see the enormous size of WALLY WORLD. It would be as if I said you have consumed enough Pizza in your life to fill the Grand Canyon. That does not mean I am in the land fill business, however it is an analogy to the amount. Baja gave some great analogies that you have taken and contorted in a manner befitting someone half your age or closer to your shoe size. Here is the official population figures of Canadian cities. Baja was correct when he stated only 3 had populations greater than WALLY WORLDS workforce. It is amazing to see how big WALLY WORLD is in comparison to Canadian population stats. Let's see Calgary + London Ont = Wal Mart
