| knowledge .. howmuch can we have? Posted: 8/3/2006 1:03:26 PM | How Much Knowledge Do We Gain?
We gain all the knowledge our puny brains can hold and then before we get to use it we lose it because we wait too long and life is a short song so try to sing along if you can soon time will end for you at least and you'll find an angel or a beast depending on beliefs you hold you may become young again or quickly become real old. dust to dust and ash to ash but what about that other trash it won't stay the same for ever more sometime it may just cover your shore plug up your ability to see the now making you wonder what and how the why doesn't matter in this end of days all accumulated knowledge melts in the haze

[well I guess it sort of is ... though I do like thread for its delicate feeling] blog just sounds so heavy like something you found in a place you probably shouldn't be or something you want to see but its always kept in the dark stark and shapeless possibly dripping wait that was an old movie the blob sounds so similar but lighter the blog strikes fear in the hearts of parents leaving nowhere to hide you can close the door but it enters through a keyhole or just seeps through all the cracks so watch your back here comes the blog don't jog ... run or join in the fun with the deluded typos an quick spells included.

| and now its August Posted: 8/6/2006 10:17:13 AM | Hello=)
Just one off the top of my head
no more into we fall the secrets that binds us the death threatens to live the life is living more except one thing in mind
How many perceptions of reality began with the truth?
|
| and now its August Posted: 8/6/2006 11:57:23 AM | hello back at ya.
as for the truth isn't that just a perception as for the beginnings its sort of a chicken or egg thing though Darwinists would say for sure the egg came first possibly from a Dinosaur now do you need any more than that to put on your thinking cap snap back a few don't have to be brew stew on the chewing of fat and that will be that will be that you can relax with your old tabby cat or put on a hat go out to the store find the true meaning of more buy some and say its ok to pay with money you haven't made yet but your sure some day you will get.
Its false that this is true to being false while its true to being false to being true.
Is perception really a deception or an inception of some random thought?
|
| and now its August Posted: 8/6/2006 9:52:31 PM | I perceive to be a mist in the forest waiting for the sun shaded when it comes adored for my cool reception feared for my mystery praised for the artistic soft focus cursed for not being clear

|
| Perceptions Posted: 8/7/2006 7:09:57 AM | I perceive to be empathy so close to you that I can see out of your eyes the way you do feel your voice speaking too I'll enjoy the touch you like as you smile cringe at the hesitance in unwanted style taste the food that nourishes your soul get frustrated by not attaining that goal.
I perceive to be the morning dew be so fresh and new every day shimmer and shine with the rising sun slow late panic runs across the yard wrinkle the card you left out last night help wash the dirt from your auto vision tweek that decission on how to play as the sun evaporates me away

| a broken dream Posted: 8/11/2006 1:16:57 PM | Surrounded by the familiar feelin' I lost long ago I wake into a broken dream half buried in the snow now shadows fall around me like vampiritic tales no songs of golden glory raining cats and dogs in pails Laughter comes with nervous shakes while struggling to get free the numbness of my package starts burning holes in me a brain will race with thoughts of wo whiles the struggle seems futile amputation from the frost bite thought can drive you the next mile I now feel my toes a wiggling down in this glacial drift with subtle snakey movements I can feel my spirits lift what seemed like a hopeless situation can reverse its course with calm rational efforts to do your best may just create revelation's song now I'm not speaking of that Bible book when I use that word today Its really referring to an epiphany and a kind of cool word play This dream of being stuck in the snow with my privates in dire straights came so quickly to an end when a solution appeard like fate now I use the word like so often I think you need a context similies and metaphores are just that not exact or what comes next similar and like are not the same they just create an illusion if you want the same you have to clone that is my conclusion so take this all with that grain of salt like when it had value in the past hum and haw your own ideals as your life goes bye so fast

| lookin' for hooks Posted: 8/14/2006 9:02:59 AM | Lookin' for hooks
Ah yes the lyical hooks in pop songs seem to describe you and me so easily its impossible not to drift along as the currents and waves from each new phase open doors in the haze of our lives
I am guilty as most in the posting of ghosts with the hope of creating a catch phrase but up on the stage time changes you hesitate
without the bass and drums can you keep your timing on will the words fall out of song will spaces get too long you feel like all is wrong until papillions are gone
Oh the sighs rise so high as the cries of hope project you bring your stings into this thing then a banner you erect rock solid with the country folk even slip in a little joke befriend that lonely bloke at the bar talk him out of driving his car then if you get the chance buckle tight your pants grab a boppin friend and dance, dance, dance.
I was comfortably numb in the heart of the sun was born to run as girls just want to have fun so.... Here we go again in the heart of the matter gimme what ya got take another shot what's hot is hot what's not is not step out of the box with mismatched socks come on take a chance and dance dance dance

| One Moment in Infinity - Tip of the Iceberg Posted: 8/15/2006 9:15:40 PM | Thorb- I have admired the depth of many of your poems in the past. This thread of yours has many I know I need to study, and ponder...
And I hope you agree, this is a fitting home for the following...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG
This reality is just the tip of the iceberg.
It looks larger than life to us,
Well
It IS life for us.
But it is not everything.
It is that piece of existence, a single universe
That appears to behave in Newtonian ways
In its scales of space and time.
It is as far as the eye can see
Whether aided by radio telescopes
Or electron microscopes.
It is perhaps even as far as the mind's eye can see
Aided by equations and mathematical models.
It is far back in time as humanity can remember
Or perhaps even as far back as the furthest red-shifted galaxy
Known to our generation of astronomers.
And it is as far forward as anyone can dream
Even as far as their children's children can dream.
Even with all that..
It still is not enough.
We swagger through life
Our worldview distorted
By our enormous egos straining
Against our tiny bubbles of existence.
Each of us is an island
Alone
Isolated
By our unwillingness to surrender
Our egos, our swollen egos
For a chance to see what really is
Without bias, without preconceived notions.
Without the shackles of narrow thinking
That is necessary for survival
While it dooms us to mortality and a certain death.
Oh, to be able to see the world again with the eyes of a child
To see the world without distortion
Unencumbered by the need to be right.
That need to be right
That corrupts world leaders
That turns their benevolence sour
And make them victims of their own intoxicating power.
That need to be right
That can incite domestic violence
Between a man and his woman.
As well as the need that fires up the ire
Of warring clans.
You can see that need
In children's taunts
Of "My dad is better than your dad"
And "My dawg is smarter than your dawg".
That need to be right
Subverts religions
To kill and perform atrocities
And worship contradictory scripts
Because what they believe must be right.
Even as I write, I am responding
To my own need to be right.
So then I remind myself
That just as all forecasting models
Are inherently wrong
So too are any worldviews
Of which I am too sure.
I drop my gaze
My shoulders briefly slump with the futility of it all
Then a smile lights up my face
Because I know that wrong ideas
Can be as beautiful as any that claim to be right.
| One Moment in Infinity - Posted: 8/16/2006 8:10:37 AM | Thanks ... violettestarr ... and yes that fits beautifully into my moments of introspective thought and rambling verse.
The smallest thing can be so large can take charge of so many lives lasting beyond any one of them alone atoning to no religion or science just being its own work of art
The lagest things can be so small when missed by all for a bargan sale that only comes once a week the meek are pushed to the side by snide remarks from sharks
Somewhere in the middle of all we ponder life and shopping malls wondering if ever we'll get the call hit the bigs and have a ball or stall on the side of life's back roads unable to carry the load without wheels we'll ponder again what's needed and real take what we think might be stolen or lost then shuffle on down the road at what cost?
time is only what you think moments of life can turn to drink can nourish your soul or rob your goals can go so slow when you stink
| One Moment in Infinity - Wisdom of the fool Posted: 8/18/2006 10:16:57 AM | Wisdom of the fool
rising up to fall again he laughed and rolled around not thinking about anything 'cept how it feels on the ground sounds of music within his head even without an ipod he's bothered by no angels, no demons, no devils or gods he doesn't know how to use any tools doesn't have to work or go to schools can sit around and play with drool if he wants to he can even be cruel see that's the wisdom of a fool
It don't matter what kinda cloths he wears it don't matter if he combs his hairs it don't matter because he don't cares if all you peoples fall down the stairs and lady if you got a nice pair he may just want to stand and stare and even when there's no one there you'll find him trying to compare irrational thoughts that don't impare
Oh the wisdom of the fool leads him to a jewel he'll toss in a pool as you work your tool study in your school say "they are so cool I gotta make new rule" with himself he'll duel say "can I have some gruell" while this thread needs a spool
| One Moment in Infinity - Back from Dreaming Posted: 8/20/2006 7:03:42 AM | eyes coming back from dreaming thoughts retraced the scheming patience melts its seeming like the clock is losing time
scan the room to build defence those eyes will become intence moments stop common sense indicates hidden signs
how to shake the cusps dull mist driven by demands never kissed an epiphany with a twist coming through the line
limbs feel weak from sitting here the mind is slowly getting clear pressure release as I hear a name that isn't mine.
| One Moment in Infinity -:- justice facade Posted: 8/29/2006 9:14:45 AM | please let this one be the last injustice we see here on this earth though out in space the time may come again because of thirst it seems to me in this reality that the will of man is small the goals we paint across the universe make us think we're tall but all in all its only a facade ... some silly front we've made to fool that passing stranger into thinking we are brave.
originally First line -- Last line Posted: 8/29/2006 11 48 AM [then expanded with the following ... now]
I pray to what i feel is hope and faith in a better way thinking sometime its going to happen and everything's o.k. the papers seem to come and go around my busy world showing me so constantly how brazen cruelty unfurled open mass destruction for sake of greedy pride corporate resolutions push and pull justice aside taking what they think they need to fill the bottom line faceless shareholders in shadows smile thinking profit is divine on a beach in Florida or is it the Cayman Islands nursing fresh skin's cancer growth denying all the violence first is last in the line of true compassion for fellow man winning the race of possession with underhanded scams Oh yes we all are sinners as we pass through daily life coveting like beginners or stealing pens for the wife now petty crimes of passion can make for troubled times little white lies and shorting of change easily slips the mind Though being in god's image so close ya gotta think DNA maybe some genetic personality flow into our ways there might be flaws in everything in or out of this universe can you accept a imperfect god as well like needing to rehearse As long as life purports to be striving for the best Darwinian evolution's call for the stronger than the rest take charge of all around us with a ego so inflated god complexes in pop singers making kids feel elated writing words that fill young minds with clichés not always true building castles in the sand for princely overviews justice for the masses is sunken in a well the sewage has polluted and we sure don't like the smell so most often its just forgotten in our daily times of need between that brunch and dinner date some sympathy may bleed across the video pixels and spread through grocery rags they think it will get better if we make some star into a hag what to do in so short a time as what we have on earth may there really be reincarnation and karma involved in birth then it all won't feel so bad to us as we scan the glob watching wars and corporate spills decimate young and old
