I'm new to this site, 3 weekes to be exact..
Well, all my pictures are recently taken. But I did go on a date with this guy. Very sweet guy but didn't even look like the one in the photo. I asked and he said that picture was 5 years old. HELLOOO.. That's mis leading and not cool... and what's up with guys writing athletic in the body type section while you could easily see the beer belly overlaping the belt.. Call me vain if you want to. But honesty will take you a long way...

When I did online date, the feedback was that I looked like them, and usually that I looked younger in person.
So, I don't know what my problem is with having my picture taken... | |

I am sorry but no matter how good you look when you are 40 you do not look 20 any more. Besides why hide it. If you really intend to meet someone they are going to see you and I think of it as being dishonest to portray yourself any anything other than who you are. | |

I am the same way. This one here, my DL, and one other card...that's about the only pictures I have of myself in the last year. The one on my profile is about 8 or 9 months old now.
Scarily enough, apart from being a lot more tanned at the moment, and one or two more scars? I really do look like the picture.  | |

interesting, ummm 1, that in asking a question like this, you don't have a picture yourself... wtf?
anyhow, yes, i look exactly like my pictures. and almost every guy i've met thru online personals has said something or the other to that effect. i think it's really important to post pictures that are current. because, otherwise? it's kind of like lying, isn't it?
one time, from another site, i met a guy who, in his photo, had a full head of thick black luscious hair. when i met him? he was completely bald, except for one charlie brown hair hanging over his forehead. it was, to put it mildly, shocking.
he was also, btw, about 11 years older than he said he was in his profile.
and, it was at about that point that i started taking online dating A LOT less seriously.  | |

When I turn on my webcam... I'm told I'm better looking than in my pictures. When I show up at the 1st date... I'm told that I am better looking in person  . | |

I've seen several men from POF in person and I found them attractive, but when looking at their picture on POF, I would have not been attracted. | |
