| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 8/24/2009 4:43:21 PM | | Lol, my picture is a couple of months old but I don't look like my pictures and never liked a picture I put up, i never felt photogenic, then again I normally wear my beard and cut my hair like twice a year, so for the most part I am not a well kept man only because i have my wandering stages where I leave town for a while and get into adventures, lol. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 8/25/2009 10:24:14 AM | | Yep my pictures now was taken just a week ago, so they look a lot like me, haven't changed much in a week. ;) Actually think my current profil picture is one of the best I had for a while, usually the pictures of me is when I turning away, or running away from the camera, minus of course the obligated images in group photos. ;) | |

Second guy pretty much said my photos "sucked" and I needed to make new ones. Third guy said "girls who only post torso shots are fat" So................thanks 2nd and 3rd guys for being such A-holes! I did post new shots and have been very successful!

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/17/2009 8:36:59 PM | | I was told I looked better. It was flattering! But anyway, they definitely never told me I look different and the 2 times I met someone off here they recognized me first | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/17/2009 11:03:15 PM | Everytime I've been on a date no one has ever had any trouble recgnozing me from my pictures. Sometimes I didn't always recognize them and on a couple of other occassions I've actually been lied too (out of date picture). This one girl I went out with "once" looked nothing at all like her picture. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/18/2009 7:22:59 AM | I'm told that I look much better than my pictures. I think it's because all of my pictures have the same cheesy camera ready smile. My everyday facial expressions do not photograph well.
Pictures can only convey so much. A person's level of attractiveness is not usually just their physical appearance alone. It has to do with how they carry themselves, their mannerisms, personality...
I've met plenty of guys who looked exactly like their pictures but because of their confidence and personality, were way more attractive than I expected them to be. The case has been the other way around at times as well.

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/18/2009 10:35:04 AM | I don't think there's ever been a picture of me I actually liked. I went pictureless for about a month when I first got on this web site, mostly to keep it private. Well I found out fairly quick that no pic means no responses,so I did some pictures for a while. Now I'm dating someone(not from here),so now the pictures are off again. I know I'm not a troll, but I'm never really happy with my pics. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/18/2009 10:48:12 AM | | I hate having my picture taken, maybe I'm part Amish? LOL! I've been told for years I look better in person. I used to work in an industry where I was hired for my appearance, so I know I'm not totally unattractive, but I also know I need to lose weight. I don't feel compelled to post the gratuitous cleavage picture that so many women seem to post on here. I'd rather people see something in me other than my cup size. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/18/2009 10:55:20 AM | | I hate photos of myself, I absolutely loathe them. Reason being, what I see in the mirror and what I see in my photos are two different things. Don't ask me why that is, I don't know. But you could take a thousand pictures of me and none of them will show what I see in the mirror. I swear it's like someone else jumps in front of me as soon as the camera flashes; it's fricken ridiculous, really. No one has ever accused me of looking like my pictures; and fortunately that's a good thing because I've always been told I look better face-to-face, and I agree. I do. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/18/2009 1:35:07 PM | Yep. I recently had a meet-and-greet with a POF woman not long ago. As she walked up to the bar, I was waiting at the door, and she said "You look exactly like your picture" - and it was in a disappointed tone of voice.
I guess some POF women just don't like honest men.

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/18/2009 3:44:03 PM | well you can usually get a general feeling of how someone looks from recent pictures.
The problem I have come across on a couple of occasions is the person posting old photos. I went on one date and walked past the girl, ends up she had photos from about 10 years ago on the site, shortest date I've ever been on...did she expect me not to find out? I ask now how recent the pictures are and make sure my photos are upto date, but like some of the other posts I am told I look better in person as you can tell 100% what someone looks like especially if its a frontal view, features can be obscured or hidden, hence people holding the camera at different angles when taking pictures of themselves.
Better to show a couple of pictures from different angles, recent photos and if someone asks for a recent photo, show them they will only find out if you meet them.
From experience it aint nice meeting someone who has already lied by showing old photos of how they looked 20lbs n so many years ago

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/23/2009 2:32:08 PM | Do you look like your pictures? Of course I do, they are pics of ME after all, lol.
When you go out and meet someone.... has this come up? I usually hear something along the lines of "wow you really DO look like your pics" ... as though they were expecting something different and pleasantly surprised.
Do you look like your pictures or is someone going to be very surprised to meet you? I change my style day by day but overall look basically the same. I clean up pretty well when I dress up but I still look pretty much the same in jeans and a t-shirt. A couple things most guys are surprised about me are how long my legs are and how big my chest is in person. I'm pretty tall for a girl and I carry myself well. And I know how to display my assets as well as hide them, lol.
Lol, just last week I went on a first date and the guy made a comment about me wearing flats and said "wow, you are tall". He also "had to" run his hands thru my hair because he said he'd never dated a girl with such short hair... but said he liked it. When he came over just to hang out a few days later, I was comfy in my yoga clothes and no makeup. He made some comment about being able to look sexy in anything, lol.
I will say the only major surprise I tend to throw is that I like to color my hair. Drastically and often, lol. I change my hairstyle on a whim. So I often get the question "so are you blonde or brunette?" Lol, well that depends on the day

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/23/2009 2:33:25 PM | | Oh as a kicker, he saw my Senior pics and made a comment "boy you look the same" and that's 8 1/2 yrs ago. So I don't really change much but my hair and what i'm wearing. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 9/23/2009 3:10:12 PM | I've been told I look more beautiful in person.. aaah..geeeze.. all of mine are... within the last year and a half excluding one.
Why do men (maybe women too) post pics with their sunglasses and hats on along with being out dated and standing 100 + feet away from the camera? and by the way I'm not interested in seeing your Harley or your boat or your hot rod!! Just want to see you!
