Posted: 2/19/2006 12:46:59 PM | I get told I look younger in RL than in my pictures, and I already look pretty damn young in my pic's lol - minus the facial hair and grey hairs which my sister was nice enough yesterday to state " oh my I can really see a lot of it "

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/19/2006 2:05:03 PM | Actually, I think my photos make me look a hell of a lot better than I do actually. I say this cause for most of my life I either been missing something, or I am just ugly. I done only had like a few girlfriends.
I don't walk up and ask women for their names and phone numbers as a rule. I would rather leave that to introduction and see if they are even remotely interested in me foist. I think this is one of my biggest draw backs.
But for the most part, I get complimented WAY too much by people and very little action. So that is why I am here, to meet a woman with our kinna compatability. It's easier. Still I get told I look good but no one has taken me home yet, so the laudings are meaningless. Looking good obviously doesn't ad up to meaning much. But all my photos stay current so I guess I do look like me.

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/19/2006 2:12:31 PM | | Yes, I've been told that I look exactly like my pictures, and also that I look better than my pictures. And, yes I know that I don't have a picture posted at this time, lol. But, it must be true as I've ran into guys in public places, like singles dances and they've come up to me and introduced theirselves to me, and told me they saw me on a date site, and that I looked exactly like my pictures. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/19/2006 2:54:18 PM | This is what I should do:
I tell the ladies to take a brand new one for me, smiling, doing the peacesign and to look into the cam, lol. I give them a lil time to clean up, but the pic has to be taken today, before I will meet.

A cam that is better than the $20 wal-mart special, helps too. I paid $50 for mine, and they are crystal clear.

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/19/2006 2:59:01 PM | Yes I do, My main photo was just from Christmas past and I think there would be no surprises when someone meets me except that I am so much cuter in person and my hair is slightly longer.

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/19/2006 3:16:05 PM | This is a loaded thread, do you really expect anyone to say "nope I look nothing like my pictures?" I'm sure THAT would help them get dates.
After a while, you get good at analyzing pictures and figuring out who will surprise you and who won't (assuming the pics aren't ten years old). Red flags are pics that are fuzzy, dark, overexposed, wearing a hat or sunglasses, studio portraits with lots of makeup and professional lighting, headshots - almost guaranteed these people are going to look far different in person.
I went through a lot of effort to get a picture that was flattering but did look exactly like me. I don't want anyone to be surprised in person. We've all been on dates where in the first 10 seconds we see they don't look like the picture and we want to run screaming.
I never want to put someone in that position. There are far better positions I'd like to put my dates in ;-)

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/20/2006 10:29:04 AM | The pics are of me - and I have heard the comment before that "wow - you actually look like your pics". I can't imagine why people would put something uo that doesn't accurately represent themself. Bad way to start things in my opinion. | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/20/2006 10:53:37 AM | | I usually get told I look just like my pics or better...which is great since I've met people who have looked nothing like their pics and it just leaves me speechless thinking "WTF!?!?" | |

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/20/2006 11:08:23 AM | I've been told I look better than my pictures (uhhh when I have pictures up ) I know I've had people tell me I look exactly like them, and other haven't recognized me until I introduce myself at parties and the like. Then again, at parties, there are a lot more people and it isn't always easy to associate names with faces.
Anyone I've met one on one for coffee or whatever has had no problem picking me out based on pictures posted here...when I have 'em posted.

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/20/2006 11:18:45 AM | ha ha...true story.
My friend met a gal at a restaurant for a first meet thing. When she sat down he was like "hmmm so you don't look nothing like your pics". She replied "I told you those were of my cousin". He excused himself to use the washroom and didn't return.

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/20/2006 11:26:16 AM | When I had only been on here for a couple weeks I met a guy and he said "You look exactly like your pic." I was like "Uhh..yeaaaaah...." Now that I have been on here a while I see what he was saying!!!

| do you look like your pictures? Posted: 2/20/2006 11:49:19 AM | | YES! My primary photo that is there now (I switch them around from time to time) was taken on Dec 31,2005. The others-- all within past 6mts., except for 2 and they are a few years old and I clearly state that on my profile. Wish some of the men I've met would do the same. | |
