| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/25/2006 11:22:48 AM | Every time I go out somewhere I get from some girl, I know you from somewhere. Maybe that's where these women have seen me, well not here but times I had my profile on other sites. I always get confused when they say they've seen me before but can't recall where, especially when I've never seen them before in my life. That could be why I get that alot. Never thought about it. | |

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/25/2006 12:33:27 PM | ^^^^
Well dude that could be a good thing because now you can screen the girls in person as well. If they are hidious looking you can be like " Yah I dont recongize you...maybe your confusing me with someone else."
And if they're smokin hot you can be like "Yah well lets go somewhere to refresh your memory"
You know they are somewhat interested because they made the first move...so its a win-win for you. Unless they walk up to you all gross looking and say..."hey remember me...we talked on POF for like a month....OMG how are you doin?" HELP!

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/25/2006 4:57:52 PM | | Ohhhhh Yes, but I just act nonchalant as if they would NOT recognise me and they are just the girls who serve me over the counter or I see walking by. Be "NONCHALANT" I bet that is what they are doing. | |

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/25/2006 5:18:37 PM | Have met and dated a fellow POF'er. Have had my friends join POF Land. Have bumped into POF'ers. Have seen a few and done everything possible to avoid eye contact. Have seen a few, stopped and chatted.
I am however sorry that i didnt see a certain POF'er who tried to say hello on Thursday night at Theory of a Deadman. I sooooo wasnt ignoring you. It was just a little drunk out!
Forgive me?? | |

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/25/2006 10:44:02 PM | Yeah, I swear I see em around.... and actually, today, I saw a girl who was familiar... and we made eye contact, and I knew she recognized me as well! But then she took one look at my little girl, and that was the end of that but hey.. they are out there! I'm seeing familiar faces all over!!!! Or maybe it's all in my head:P | |

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/25/2006 11:54:59 PM | Yes.. and it's kind of like celebrity spotting! lol
I saw this one guy I had been speaking to for a while here on POF..and on the phone...and one day last summer.. I was at a stop light and noticed this cute guy making a left hand turn, and it was him!! Our eyes locked as he made crossed in front of my car...in his turbo volvo! Yes MV you know who you are! lol And so I called him and told him I think I saw him... and since I was driving a replacement car after my accident he didn't put 2 and 2 together.. Turns out he didn't recognize me.. but was checkin' out the "hottie" ! ( his words not mine ) lol That was the best sneak preview to a meeting ever! And we've been great friends ever since.. hugs and kisses hun!
Other than that..I've been at a light and had someone in a car next to me yell.." Hey... Wild Orchid ".. freaks the hell out of me everytime!

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/26/2006 1:34:00 AM | I teach adult education in the IT field... so that means that if there are singles in my class, they'd probably embrace online dating as a viable option. I DREAD the day I can connect a student to a dating site.
I have seen people offline that I've seen on-line although I'm usally captain oblivious walking around in public and I can miss my best friend... lol!
I've been recognized MANY times. I have on-line friends that I hadn't met and get the whole "OMG I saw you at such and such concert on Sat" and sure enough I was there. I've been approached and told they've seen me online... commented on my posts... lol! Freaky for sure.
I've seen many people I know online ... I even got chatting to my COUSIN once and we hadn't seen eachother for a long time (our moms are close by the families aren't) and it took a long long time before we figured out we were related... lol! I've seen coworkers online... I've seen classmates when I was a student... people that work at places I frequent.

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/26/2006 6:29:53 PM | I have only run into three unintentionally....

then the other creepy fukker I just pointed out to my friend, and then we looked the other way!

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/27/2006 1:32:34 PM | My thing is I rarely remember people. I might see the picture of the girl, Hell even might be in my favorite list but I'd probably never recognize her. I guess I'm bad about that, plus I constantly forget peoples names. It's almost like, at the introduction stage I kind've zone out to what a persons name is. Then if there's a conversation, I normally forget their name and just nod yes and no or say yes or no the entire time thinking, what was her name again?
I do that with everyone though, terrible for remembering names, always have been, my Dad is the same way. Watch David Letterman and he's the same way, watch the current events segment he does. He'll go to the audience member, ask their name, for example say the persons name was Jim, later in the segment he'll say something like, so your name's larry right? He may do that to get laughs however.

| Running into people from POF Posted: 2/27/2006 3:48:42 PM | | I have seen a few, but fortunately I have seen them first. I did meet a darling mature guy, who said: "I think I've seen you somewhere before--or is that just wishful thinking." He was so polite. | |

| Running into people from POF Posted: 3/8/2006 6:08:58 AM | | Yes, I sure have. We laughed about it, shortly thereafter he ended up working with me at my job at the time (telemarketing); a few weeks later his mom was hired, too. | |
