| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 8/17/2007 1:32:49 PM | All around us every time we are out and about our daily lives there is the potential to meet someone new. I find that smiling and say hi works.. ..

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 8/19/2007 8:28:36 AM | | Well, as far as the western suburbs of Minneapolis, there's not many places to meet people period. 2-3 bars which are always packed on the weekends, but it's like a meat market there. Hoping the new cologne I bought will help. It's called eau de invisible. Seems to be working so far. | |

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 8/19/2007 9:03:48 AM | I wish I knew. Seems like there are no places to dance anymore.
One thing I would like to say is, if the single ladies would just take their wedding rings off, nice, available guys like me might say hi. But not with that band still on. Why they do it god only knows.

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 8/27/2007 4:43:42 PM | I seem to have a problem with the grocery store thingie.
Should I be in the carrot area? Cucumbers?
So far the orange and melon areas have not panned out.

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 8/27/2007 9:34:58 PM | ... Go park your car with the hood up on any lot of an auto parts store and just stand there with a wrench looking confused.... someones bound to come along a give you a hand.... But remember not to accept any assisatnce from a male wearing a wedding band.

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/3/2007 6:44:36 AM | I just got back from my cruise. There was a divorced man on board who chased me & 1 other gal the whole trip. Many single/divorced women on board. Again, a man would do very well on such a trip. He could also get to know the women over the length of the trip...and get the added bonus of being on vacation himself.
Not a bad thing at all | |

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/3/2007 1:58:59 PM | Idea: What about a Singles Cruise for POF members only? Some members have exchanged emails, but are seperated by distance and could meet that way. I am sure a travel agent would and could set up something like that. Has anyone ever tried it? hmmm. . . Wait.. scratch that idea. I can just imagine some people on the cruise: "Oh, sh*t.. It is YOU again! Leave me alone!'

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/3/2007 2:50:12 PM | | A cruise would be awesome..however, for people like me that couldn't afford anything like that..it wouldn't be too good. I don't think I have anyone I would be worried about that would be on there though..:) | |

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/6/2007 8:14:39 PM | | Doesn't matter what we suggest, you'll have to bring your face and people will see it, unlike here where you can remain faceless and complain. | |

on places like this website I always look forward to your posts because I seem to invariably agree with you! Maybe it's because I'm another Canadian Guy!
imaginery, megabyte world My profile on another web site led to an adventure of a lifetime that I characterize as a combination of "Romancing the Stone" and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". The reality of that Bolivian adventure was better than I could ever have imagined!!
Cheers and have a great day! 4_All_Seasons_CA

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/7/2007 9:05:30 AM | Well im finding fast that with me being over 45 It is so hard to meet someone because they all want younger.I do think that they look at you if your not a stud muffin they will not give you the time of day. | |

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/7/2007 11:30:33 AM | I'm not focussed on meeting Mr. Right, or even Mr. Right Now. I am focussed on living my life to the fullest & enjoying MY interests & my friends & family. That way IF I don't meet Mr. Right, I haven't been holding my breath "waiting to exhale"
After all they say when you stop looking is when it happens.
I want to enjoy my life & not worry about drama w/ the opposite sex.
So to answer the question, just go through your life doing what YOU like & that way you will meet PEOPLE w/ common interests. I am a big believer of fate & a Higher Power If you are meant to meet someone, it will happen...

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/11/2007 7:05:06 AM | | well maybe you are right about this but if I was not looking why would I be on this site?I want to meet new people because I have been out of the loop for so long.I dont care if I will say get a woman but a friend would be nice to have. | |

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/11/2007 4:56:48 PM | | Sounds like you live relatively close to me. Walmart is 37 miles and Lowes is 35 miles from the house.I guess I need to give up the quiet live for noise and sirens to find someone. | |
|
| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/11/2007 7:24:54 PM | There must be places. I am always amazed at people that have no trouble meeting new people. It is not impossible for me, however, I would be able to get 87 miles per gallon in my car easier than it would be to get a date within a week.
Think I will start a thread about being "Painfully Shy"
|
| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/13/2007 6:10:07 PM | Talk about shy. I tend to be shy at first until I get to know someone so it's hard for me to strike up a conversation unless someone addresses me first. I've been to the groceries lots of times, but can't really say that would be a great place to find someone. Maybe I should leave the frozen section and go to the springy veggie section !!! | |

| Best places to meet people after 45 Posted: 9/13/2007 7:06:57 PM | ...I jokingly posted that the ladies need to become interested in what the men enjoy like golf, hockey, basketball even if that means thaty have to fake it....well low and behold I was watching a program on dating tips and what was the advice?....Get more involved in what men are interested in....So I guess ladies that means we need to start hanging out at sporting arenas and such....what we won't do in the name of love, or finding it.
