i dreamt of a chicken.....now does that mean anything
Dreaming about chickens means that good times are just around the corner. Seeing several chickens: don't waste time with idle talk. Plucking a chicken: you are not properly compensated for your work. Eating a chicken denotes rewards at your job. If a man dreams of trying to catch a chicken, he is too much into short love affairs, but nonw bring him satisfaction. Watching a hen laying eggs: you will receive money soon. Seeing a hen sitting on eggs: your wishes will come true.

| are we alone? Posted: 2/22/2006 8:47:38 AM | Okay, in all seriousness here.
Considering the diversity of life on this planet, and the abundance of systems that inhabit not just our Galaxy, but the Universe as a whole. I cannot possibly believe that we (Human Beings), are the sole beings in this cosmic "dance" to have self-awareness and intelligence.
A lot of others have posted here, attempting to use mathemathics to justify either position. You can "fudge" the numbers anyway you'd like, in order to skew the results to support your opinion.
Do I believe that we are alone in the Universe? An emphatic NO!
Do I believe that we (Earth) has ever been visited by another form of intelligent life? I don't know...I keep asking myself..."Why would they come to this remote, back-water world, unless they were already aware of us?"....But I think that is another topic for a another thread.
In universal terms, we are still a very young planet. Our existence on this planet, is merely the "tick" of a second hand, on the "24 hour clock" that is often used to represent cosmic time, in terms more relative to the Universe. With time and distances so vast, as to be almost incomprehensible to most of us, how could we presume to know enough, to really answer such a question with anything more that speculation and conjecture?
What about the fact that there are far older Galaxies out there in the Universe, with systems and planetary bodies that may well support, or at one time supported, life, as we may come to think of it. Can we be so arrogant to think that Earthlings are the only form of intelligent life in the cosmos? I think not!
Okay, what about the 4th Dimension? Another plane of existence? Time travel? Who's to say that "we", here on Earth, aren't the product of "seeds", that were planted by some other form of life, to perpetuate this ongoing symphony that is, Life!
What about the fact that we, as human beings, are only tapping into 1/10 of our little brains capacity. We marvel at others who can do things that seem impossible, or dismiss as magic, but, what if....some specific individuals have been able to access areas of their brain that allow them to see beyond the normally accepted standards, that the majority of us take for garnted? Are they alien? or just the first signs of our next inevitable step in our evolutionary path?
Marvelously thought-provoking stuff, indeed.

| are we alone? Posted: 2/22/2006 4:26:40 PM | | No..and I don't mean in the cosmos.I mean supernaturally.I have had far too many divine interventions and supernatural interactions.I believe in a supreme being who exists whether I do or not.We are never alone. | |

| are we alone? Posted: 10/19/2009 2:11:48 AM | | It appears that I am alone in here. I certainly can see no signs of intelligent life. | |

| are we alone? Posted: 10/20/2009 10:30:48 AM | The former Canadian Minister of Defense, Paul Hellyer, said; “UFOs are as real as the planes that fly over your head.” I have seen numerous UFOs.
Angels are Cosmic visitors not of this Earth, some that are human, some that are not, that are constructive who bring great wisdom and often help protect us against destructive events - they are often dressed in bright clothing, have the ability of flight and can appear in spirit.
If you check into the Ancients (Google UFOs in Ancient art) you will find they have been around as long as humanity has and probably longer. Check thehiddenrecords.com for Ancient Star Knowledge art found worldwide involving the Pleiades and Orion. They are family and we have some of their genetics.
The Star Visitors are here now in larger numbers because we have reached a crossroads in Human development. It seems, we either rise up the evolutionary scale or self-destruct.
There are Visitors here on the planet as well as in our skies. They have made contact with Government officials, top plutocrats and millions and millions of humans from all walks of life and every social status. They are trying to suggest and encourage us to move away from self-destruction.
Our galaxy is teaming with life. Some come from only 6 or 7 light years away. One race of visitors travels over 100,000 light years in 1 hr 33 minutes. And who knows from where and how?
Official announcement by the US government and other governments is very close at hand. The way it appears, I would say, within the next year or two.
Have an Awesome Day … Love, Light & Peace

| are we alone? Posted: 10/20/2009 10:44:12 PM | I can't imagine, among the vast number of star systems, that there isn't a huge diversity of life forms out there. But I have a droll suspicion that our solar system has a warning sign (possibly a quarantine) to keep others away until we stop acting like inpatients in an insane asylum.
If you were trying to explain our general behaviour and points of view to an outsider (a visiting alien), can you imagine how absolutely mad we would appear? It would be amusing if it wasn't so sad. But then, we ARE gradually improving, I think, when you consider 'now' to, say, the Middle Ages or the Dark Ages. Perhaps there's hope for us after all.
