One of those fake beards that attaches by hanging wire loops over your ears, or a pair of eyeglasses with the nose and mustache. Dress for the occasion, depending on the woman and her mood that day.

Posted: 2/23/2006 7:00:39 AM | | I got a lot of compliments on my goatee,,,mainly about the bit of gray in it and how I keep it neatly trimmed---If I didn't keep it trimmed up, I'd look like Yasser Arafat! Those whiskers go every which way when they get too long.

Posted: 3/26/2006 3:49:17 AM | I've had this growth 'tween upper lip and nose since I was 17........always been afraid if I shaved it, it wouldn't grow back! As for other facial hair.....I can and sometimes do grow a decent goatee, but full beard is out because I don't fill in on the sides........guess I'm still waiting for puberty..... My general preference is just the 'stache..........{on me.......not her!} I've never had anyone complain about the 'stache, but I've wondered, on occasion, what the woman's perspective is.........{not that I'd shave it......... }

| Men with mustaches and/or beards, Why and what?? Posted: 7/21/2006 2:06:22 AM | I have my beard because if I don't I look young enough to be in high school (and I've been out of high school for six (almost seven) years!)..
I seriously look like I'm 14 without my beard..
Take a look see here:

| Men with mustaches and/or beards, Why and what?? Posted: 7/21/2006 8:18:29 AM | I run a construction business and look 12 without some sort of hair on my face.
I really have no choice in the matter.
I'd have potential costumers asking me if I was gonna ride my bike to work.

| Men with mustaches and/or beards, Why and what?? Posted: 7/21/2006 8:35:12 AM | I first grew my mustache in college, and was barraged with "quips" by dips who said to me, "what's that dirt on your lip? got a fuzzy caterpillar there? what's with that?" so I finally shaved it off, thinking they were more than hinting to ditch it...
ha ha! next reaction from every one of them -- "hey, why did you shave that off??" "well, because you gave me so much shit about it... I thought it must look pretty bad... "
then they ALL said -- "man, you'd better grow it back! you look much better with it... your face needs the hair there... " so I've had it ever since except once briefly, and the chick I was with nearly fainted and said, "WTF happened to YOU??" so I grew it again and have kept it ever since (girls I knew in high school prefer me with the mustache, they've told me it's cool... )
my grandfather had a mustache all his life and it looked great... so I'm keeping this one and giving mustache rides -- my boss's horny blond wife once asked me if "girls find that it tickles" when I kiss them -- I managed to avoid saying what I was actually thinking -- "It depends where I kiss them -- wanna find out?"

| Men with mustaches and/or beards, Why and what?? Posted: 7/21/2006 2:18:41 PM | | Depends on the man and whether they suit it. And whether the style of it is in vogue...and whether or not they take care of it. My ex had a moustache when I met him. I liked it. When he grew a beard, it grew in scraggly and he didn't keep it trimmed well....so I didn't like it. Then he shaved both off and I liked him with no facial hair (took some getting used to though) It's like women's haircuts....some suit short hair...some suit long hair.....wear what suits you...but keep it well groomed. | |

| Men with mustaches and/or beards, Why and what?? Posted: 7/21/2006 7:57:10 PM | I've had a mustache since I was a teenager starting high school. Shaved it off once at 15~16 and it was the first thing my girl noticed like Why!? wtf did you do?
Just messed up trimming it and shaved it off to let it grow back in fresh...
Why is really as simply as I like the way it looks, I've never given much thought to how others feel about it.
I did shave it off again in the late nineties for the same reason I shaved it off the first time. lol Other then those two times it's always been there.
I did grow a goatee for about 6~12 months back in the mid-late nineties but just didn't like it in the end and shaved it off. Last November I got lazy & decided to let a goatee grow in over the holidays figuring it would be gone by new years but it stayed around till last week.
When I can get the goatee trimmed just right I like it but I find it hard as hell to consistently keep it trimmed the same shape! I was shaving to meet family for a birthday dinner and fighting with it and just gave up and shaved it off! Not worth it.
I have no clue how guys like Paul Tuttle Jr. manage to do that pencil thin jawline beard thing without messing it up!
btw - the way I liked it ended up being a bit different from my pics as they're going back to the start of the year, it's time to update those.
I'm back to just the mustache now and I like it like that. If I could keep the goatee trimmed the way I like it without it being a daily pain in the ass I'd grow it back. It's constantly morphing around though without a damned stencil or something to follow... Kinda miss doing the "thoughtful scratching" thing...
These days I keep it all trimmed really short, the 2nd to shortest setting on the trimmer and trim it everyday. Seventies & Eighties man belongs in the past!
imo long facial hair just looks scraggly be it a mustache, goatee, full beard, whatever. Some guys look alright with a tight trimmed beard but it's not for me...
btw I don't think I look like a cop / pornostar or it would have been history LONG ago!
And I don't care what anyone says, Ron Jeremy rocks! I love that furry hedgehog! Well not actually watching his films that's gross but he's a cool / funny guy... the "Surreal Life" with him and Tammy Faye was the best, lol.

| Men with mustaches and/or beards, Why and what?? Posted: 7/23/2006 11:03:00 PM | The last 3 men I've dated had a mustache. One was quite bushy, but it didn't bother me. I have a friend and the corners of his mouth turn upwards and it looks like he's grinning when he isn't so he always has a mustache. This might be removed, but I'll give it a try. One guy I dated like his mustache because after a specific type of "intimacy" it left a scent on his mustache afterwards. You're a big girl, you'll figure that out. | |
