| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/11/2007 3:31:34 PM | I don't like people smoking. It's dirty and smelly. And people are plain ignorant that smoke in front of you. I don't carry a sign saying that I want people smoking in front of me.
Smokers never think to move away when they're smoking. Give people some fresh air to breathe. How about that.

I was smoking and she got a whiff of it. She gagged and the threw up. I felt soooooooo bad. That was it! Quitting time.

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/11/2007 7:58:46 PM | I just quit a few months ago and if someone else I date smokes or doesn't smoke, it doesn't bother me one iota one way or the other. It's kinda strange, back 30 years ago when I was a teen/young adult, everybody who was anybody smoked. Now the pendulum has swung the other way and smokers have become so stigmatized that they've become social lepers. It's one of the reasons I gave it up but it sure wasn't easy. I don't judge anyone by a bad habit they might have, and yes I've kissed smokers as well as non smokers and enjoyed them all thoroughly. lol | |

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/11/2007 8:21:09 PM | I am a smoker, i would prefer to go out with a smoker so then i wouldn't feel so bad about smoking, or maybe i should start dating a smoker so that i would feel really bad about it and quit hmmmmm but if i light a smoke with non smokers around, i move away, i go down wind of them so they don't have to smoke, its my choice to smoke not theirs. i always smoke outside, even at mates places when they are smokers, and they smoke inside. why on earth would a non smoker get turned on by smoking, why on earth would anyone be turned on by it, its a very nasty addictive habit, and everyone who starts says, i won't get addicted to them, and then WHOAH there you go smoking a pack a day. all in all, smoking isn't cool, and i believe that its a lifestyle choice, that other people don't have to do | |

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/12/2007 7:54:46 AM | Ok, if we as smokers do go down wind of you outdoors, do not smoke in your house then just back off. If we say we smoke on our profiles then don't contact us, I sure don't if I see on a profile that they don't. I understand if you don't like it but get off all the preaching, it does not work, just leave us alone and we will leave you alone simple. I got this one guy who told me that he didn't like smokers but he loved my profile and thought he could get me off of them, hello..........of course we don't talk anymore. All I'm saying is that yes you have your rights but remember if you want to have those right's then we can have our rights also. | |

I live a clean, healthy life. I don't consider anyone addicted to anything, including nicotine, as a potential mate.
Happy (addiction-free) fishing.

But thats OK it is my preference to not date anyone who drinks. Crack-hos, dope fiends and booze hounds need not apply. Nice company you have placed yourself in.

With an attitude like that you'll get no sympathy here, smokey. BTW, my nicotine-fiend friend, I RARELY drink so a hypocrite? No sir, I leave that title to you. Buh-bye.

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/12/2007 1:51:23 PM | Every one has habbits after all were not perfect. But my bad habbits dont make everyones clothes smell when ive been out and had a damm good night
I don,t judge anyone by colour, background, age ect ect and yes even have friends and family that still smoke...
But prefer to be with a none smoker every time
Shame when you see an attractive guy and think OMG IVE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN Then realise hes a smoker and think YAK YAK OMG YAK LMAO
So im glad smoking is a no no every where i can now Enjoy a meal with friends in good conversation and giggle, without also chewing the thick smoke in the air, or whilst someone with no manners lights up just as my meal comes I can go clubbing without having holes in my clothes or them smelling Get into a taxi without chewing thick stale smoke Inhale fresh air the list is endless...
My smoker friends have no problem going out for a 'bad habbit' when they feel they need one and even find they smoke less than before when were all out for meal

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/15/2007 4:00:03 AM | mess:507...missouri-gypsy , for some reason you fail to see the point here. The post is about " Smoking is a Turn-Off" , not wheather or not you or anybody smokes , in the house or outside. I used to smoke. After I quit ( 18 years ago) I realized that kissing a smoker , is like kissing the top of a full garbage can. So, needless to say, smoking to me is a definite turn-off | |

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/20/2007 9:48:49 PM | As a professional in the medical field, I find there are two ways to approach the smoking debate. First, if a person decides to smoke then it is their business as long as they do not attempt to force their habit on non-smokers. For the non-smokers, like me, we have a 4foot 6 inch space around us which is called "My Free Space". If you would like to find out how that figure is dervived at, I would be happy to show you. Bottom line, smoker's should not invade a person's free space and respect them since they might have breathing problem much less than being annoyed by the terrible odor. If this helps, I have been on both sides of the fence and I like the one I am on now, much better. Now I can kiss a lady without her thinking she has just kissed the West end of a donkey going East. jpb | |

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/22/2007 5:45:39 PM | I get asked out by non smokers all the time I went out on a date with a Doctor who spent the entire night (despite that I didn't smoke all during the date ) lecturing me on the affects of smoking . He was so drunk by the end of the night he could barely walk but I guess an addiction to Alcohol isn't quite as stinky as smoking LOL | |

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/23/2007 8:02:56 AM | Yep smokers are definitely a turn off. Especially when they leave you sitting at the bar alone while they go outside for a quick fag!!
Last time a date did that to me when he came back some other guy was chatting me up - he was not impressed!!

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 8/23/2007 9:21:40 AM | Well it depends on the situation. I personally smoke when I go out to the bar. It may sound stupid to some but I gave up smoking any other time , but when you put a beer or some alcoholic drink in my hand that need for a cigarette in the other hand just seems natural. In the bar situation you might not notice but out somewhere else even someone like myself that do smoke on occasion can be turned off by the stinky smell of cigarette's. The smell gets in your clothes in your hair on your hands. It stains your finger nails and your teeth. You don't even have to be a smoker. Just be around one and your clothes / hair will probably smell too. I know it really sounds like I am riding the fence on this one. or | |

If he wanted to impress you at all he would have guarded you like you were the queen. Move your feet lose your seat and your girlfriend if you go out to smoke...

Posted: 9/13/2007 11:48:09 AM | | I feel the exact way...I am compleatly turned off by smokers....you can be drop dead handsome and we are having the most amazing conversation and then you excuse yourself to go for a smoke...WTF?????....your history!...NEXT

| does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do? Posted: 9/13/2007 1:49:05 PM | | I was a smoker for two years (started in high school) but quit 11 years ago. Now I can't stand it...I'll even hold my breath if I'm passing by someone that's smoking outdoors. If you're a runner or cyclist like I am, why would you want to intentionally pollute your body more than what it's already getting? | |
