| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/22/2006 8:30:32 AM | I'm a bit of a tomboy too. And I LOVE a good wrestle! I know how to put air in my tires, etc. And heaven knows I'm not afraid of dirt. Anyone with horses has to have a truce with dirt. And the inability to keep long nails. However, it makes me feel good when a guy offers to help with things. Makes me feel attractive and special. It doesn't happen often anymore, and it's our own fault as girls. A lot of us simply don't ALLOW men to help us anymore. Too bad, too. | |

| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/22/2006 12:45:55 PM | id say that im a bit of a tom-boy and most of the guys i have had interest in dont like it.... i can dress very lady like with lovely tops and pairs of gorgeous trousers when i want to but i dont like to wear skirts! a lot of men seem to think that to b girly girly u have to wear a skirt!.... i have a bit of a grungy appearance as i like to dye my hair cool colours and wear my baggy jeans etc... but wen my lip stud comes out and i put on my 'nice, smart, sexy' clothes i think i scrub up quite well! lol.... i think as long as u have bumps and curves in all the right places, u know how to wear make up, and ur a woman in the bedroom...its all that matters. Guys dont often give me the chance to show them who i am as i am a bit chubby and i do have odd colour hair but please look beyond the surface of girlies like me.... we might be able to help u one day! | |

| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/22/2006 1:38:44 PM | | Maybe you should read what people say before you start putting words in their mouth lordofwar.. I never said any thing about being cheap. I actualy like fixing cars and i never said any thing about his car. it could be mine. not only that why would you pay $70 hour for something you can do your self? | |

Or perhaps she ENJOYS working on cars and is good at it? As a guy, I LOVE working on my car, I would to the same for my Gal any time! For the record, I have done some pretty intensive operations in my car such as replacing the transmission etc, all by myself. If I ever found a woman who could do this with me I would say I have found Nirvana!
Hmmm grease monkey loving!!
PS. The going rate for a mechanic in my area is a mere $120.00 US dollars. Think about what that means in relation to a complicated job. (5-8 hours).

| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/22/2006 1:57:08 PM | The jeep's rear main seal needs to be replaced. I'm waiting ladies.
The women of my family are as fine as any. I was raised to want competence in a woman, h*e*l*l I'd love for a hiking hunnie that could take over certain tasks for me and I'd have an alacrity to reciprocate. Sure helps if you can clean up "good" though.

I'm not going to go to work come home cook, clean, do the yard work and the maintenence just so you guys can sit on your butt. come on guys dont be lazy now. its a 50/50 thing. Well for me any ways...

| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/22/2006 2:52:37 PM | yikes I didnt mean some macho arrogant chick, maybe we need to define tom-boy? I just mean somenoe who is interested in "guy" things, as the OP said... workin on cars, motorcycles etc. Someone who isnt afraid to get a little greasy or break a nail. Somene who isn't worried about and adjusting her appearance 24/7 | |
|
| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/22/2006 3:06:28 PM | A more clear definition would be nice. I don't think that fixing a car makes a tomboy, as long as she doesn't forget to remove the grease from under her nails and do other girly things. Still, when a girl told me that she likes to play offence in soccer because she can run fast, that just didn't impress me much | |

Changing my own balljoints, $100 for parts, $10 for an extra tool, $10 for a six-pack. Canadian Tire's quote? $700. Sometimes, yes, I am that cheap. Plus its fun.

| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/22/2006 11:48:39 PM | | It is definitly a plus. Obviously common interests are always a good thing in a relationship. So girls that enjoy shopping 24/7 don't really do it for me. Girls that enjoy gettin dirty and playin sports or especially extreme sports like I interested in. It's always a bouns | |
