| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/24/2006 11:13:26 AM | It's ok.. Diamond already said she was having a bad day when she wrote that... we forgive her, after all.. she is the one who started this wonderful thread.
I for one have all sorts of HOW TO FIX STUFF books... I am poor therefore i either have to fix it, build it or make sure I know someone who can. I love to "barter" for stuff too. I love to cook so nobody does anytype of work for me that they do not get some type of payment, even if it is just a really good meal. I tell men when they start dating me... "I ain't no foo foo girlie girl" Now I can clean up might nice but I usually do not have the time for that. I can remember when I was younger and worked office jobs.. I loved shopping Maas Brothers, Dillards and other fancy department stores, NOW... hell.. I have orgasms walking through Home Depot or Lowes!!! My friends know, If I tell them I'm "stopping by Home Depot" I might not be home for days!!!

Posted: 2/24/2006 11:34:32 PM | it is not about fixing stuff at all that makes a tomeboy woman, it is about being in tune with being a guy , that is not a bad thing , but or a guy that is tune with women stuff , well women see that as gay , I have had flack about that , talking about fashion , talking alot , like shopping , boy that turned off women , for a while they thought I was their gay friend .
Not gay at all , just guy all around that had too many female friends in the past .

U just said something I never realized. I never looked at it that way. Never even thought about it. Heh, but u're right. Why can't men talk about fashion or whatever. I just personally never came across a male who talks about stuff that woman do. Not that I talk about fashion, I couldn't care less, I more go shopping than talk about it, but I see ur point. I actually like that. I think I could make a great connection with a guy who talks about woman stuff just as much as I can talk about guy stuff cause I do.

| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/26/2006 9:07:16 PM | Hell.. I have always been considered a tomboy... when I was younger my mother would get so pissed cause I would refuse to wear a dress... now a days.. I do dress up when need be.. but men I have found are not interested in a tomboy.. I am no girly girl.. I get down and dirty and have been known to beat a friend or two (males) in wresling... I play rugby with the boys and can even kick their rears in baseball.. I have always said if your not dirty you are not playing hard enough... and I suppose because I play and drink like the guys and know how to maintain and use a chainsaw that I am not seen as a woman.. even when I am all dolled up... maybe I havent been hanging out with the right people or guys are simply to afraid to approach girls like me but when confronted with a topic like this say they like strong women.. I dont know
just my two cents
cheers | |

My Grandma always wanted me to be girlie... and I just wasn't... so when she did talk me into wearing a dress to school, she had to make sure I also wore SHORTS under my dress so when I was up in a tree or on the monkey bars the boys couldn't see my little girlie panties.. LOL

| Tom Boy's, a Plus or a Minus in Men's Books? Posted: 2/27/2006 8:43:16 PM | i always claimed to be a tomboy [cuz i was much much more comfy around the guyz] but when asked questions...there's nothing about me that's tomboyish...well...
- i don't understand the car laungage [but i find cars...sport cars too sexy...*exterior design*] - i can't play sports [but i was in girls bball team in h.s....i think cuz i'm tall] - i know nothing about computers but the basic [but i can spend a lifetime infront of it...k, not literally...lolz] - i don't get into comic books [but i adore art]
...i check out girls...[and i'm not a lesbian or bi...i'm just used to being around guyz n checking out the chicks who passes by] ...i can carry ANY type of conversation [even though i can't always relate]
- i don't like *roughing* it at camps [i've always wanted to try boot camp though...but not anymore] - i'm not the prissy girl either [i used to wear baggy pants n mens xl shirts...so priss in pink is just too much for me] - i don't put on make-up [cuz not like i know how to *properly* do it]...hahahahaha
omg! i'm neither!! then what the h3ll am i?!
awwwwwwwww...i don't belong anywhere...hahahaaha

My friend (a man) who lives on my property now almost fell out because he didn't even know I wore make up. I explained that I can clean up pretty good.. he still dont' believe me... I guess I'll just have to show him one of these days.
