I mean it makes you think why he didn't swing the bat.

No Kidding!! He'll have a l-o-o-o-n-n-g winter to think about that. Definitely seemed to be the victim of some sort of cranial cramp!

| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 10/24/2006 2:33:34 PM | I hate to say it but... wait till next year.... The mets are a starting pitcher... (plus a healthy pedro...) away from completely dominating the National Leauge...even worse than they did this year......
And you cant fault Beltran... Look at the season he had... It was a high pressure situation.. not to mention that curve ball that he looked at had some pretty good movement on it... I think he was probably looking for a fastball....
BTW... Cards got lucky... I mean... 83 regular season wins... they are a mediocre team at best... and Detroit is gonna smoke them.. in theyre own house... and sweep the next three games.... Bye Bye birdies!!!

| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 10/26/2006 4:22:22 PM | | Funny.... I dont feel like a jackass.... Its not the first time ive been wrong.... wont be the last. As the better team... I still predict the tigers to win it in either 7 or 6... and if im wrong... oh well. I could really care less who wins... but I stand by my statement... If Omar Minaya does his job this winter... which he has already proven he is more than capable of... Amazins should win between 100 and 110 games next summer... and bring a world championship home to NY NEXT FALL!!! | |

| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 10/27/2006 12:09:47 PM | | NYMETS ARE GOING TO SUCK !! again and make all sorts of world series hoopla and be the team to beat AGAIN and will AGAIN just lose. | |
|
| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 10/29/2006 12:17:34 AM | | At least we will be the team to beat.... lol... oh yeah... congrats to those redbirds...who won in total 94 games all year... I smell a dynasty in the making there... what with superstars like Scott Spazio... Juan Encarnacion... ( Isnt he there cleanup hitter? LOL) Yadier Molina... So Taguchi And Braden Looper... LOL.. what a joke. Were gonna have to find early occasion to knock the"champs" off their pedestal and I hope its in St Louis and then everyone can take those snotrags they like to wave around and dry their tears with it.. In fact... I hope next years nlcs is a rematch and we win game 7 right there at new busch leaguer stadium.. and I hope its Pujols who stands there and looks at strike 3... Think thatll wipe that smug look off his face??? And no... This is not the beginning of a new Mets Cardinals rivalry.. because they are beneath us.. we have better teams to worry about...ike maybe the Cubs or the Brewers. LOL.and.. 2 more words for you..Barry Zito.. its a wrap!! NY METS 2007 WORLD CHAMPS! | |

| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 11/1/2006 9:35:22 AM | | You Damn Right Im Bitter... That Was A Tough Series To Lose... If Game 7 Went The Other Way... Im Sure Card Fans Would Be Bitter... Well Maybe Not Cuz They Werent Really Expected To Win Nothin... Hmmm Wonder Why.... You Cant Call The Mets Underachievers... On The Contrary... I Think The Cards Were Over Achievers.... I Mean I Hate To Say It... Jeff Suppan Is Not That Good... He Just Was Really Pumped Up.... But All My Above Statements Stand... I Also Found Out That The Mets Play Opening Day In St Louis 2007... Great... We Get To See Them Raise Their World Series Banner... I Just Wonder If The Cards Will Be Able To Recover From An 0-3 Start.... | |

| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 11/1/2006 11:06:06 AM | I wouldn't be surprised if the Braves get back into it, but then again I would be, because they just can't pull it off in the post season and I feel sorry for them when they go into it because they just can't get it done,13 out of 14 times they couldn't get it done in the post season. mets got lucky (extremely lucky) in 1986 against the Boston Red Sox , we all know how, no need to get into that. I think the Mets won't win A world championship, it would be hard for them to win it.
In many ways the Braves and Mets are ALOT alike, they make it look good only to fall apart after.
|
| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 11/2/2006 2:03:45 PM | | The mets will liley struggle at 1st, Pedro is supposed to miss ALOT of 2007 season, thats why experts now are saying they will pick up Glavines contract, even though they told him he can go back to ATL if he wants to. Liley the braves wont have the money anyways. But, Braves have a closer now, which was a very big reason they missed the playoffs, I am glad they did actually. NL east is going to be tougher than it was in 2006, mets had a cakewalk, cause not only were they good, but they had a weak div in 2006. Mets are gonna find out, its not as easy to defend a div title as it is to win the 1st one! Mets can laugh at 14 straight div titles all they want to, they will never do it, and they just , uh COUPH COUPH COUPH, what that word again oh yeah CHOKED in the nlcs! Winning it all aint that easy as yall want braves fans to think it is then huh? | |
|
| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 11/2/2006 2:06:01 PM | | To make it even more ironic, it was an ex BRAVES that struck out Beltran in game 7! Adam Wainwright, he went to the cards when the braves got JD DREW in 2004 | |

| Predicitions on the NY Mets for 2006 Posted: 11/4/2006 9:23:05 PM | First of all Ratero... do we really have to go back to 86... First of all... the mets had one of the best teams EVER ASSEMBLED.... (yeah.. thats what I said...) Who dominated the entire National League... If it wasnt for Mike Scott doctoring the ball... that NLCS would have been a breeze... and who came back to win the series after losing the first 2 games at home.... And now you want to say it was luck... just because of one wild pitch.... and a ground ball which Buckner failed to play properly... and what about the 3 straight singles with 2 men out... Youre really preachin to the choir with that lucky shit... I mean by that token we could say that the Cardinals were reeeaally lucky that beltran didnt put one of those pitches in the bullpen... or pulled it down the line... or even hit the ball hard enough to tie the game... or you could say they were lucky that Pedro wasnt able to pitch... or El Duque... That famous Tommy Aggie shoestring catch... luck????? The shot heard round the world... just a lucky home run right????? And now you might say.. well yeah... but it was a routine play that buckner botched right??? O.K... but his team payed him a salary... to make that play... not to let the ball skip by him..... So yeah.. go ahead... say what you want.. Mets were lucky in 86.... I bet they were lucky in 1969 also right... I mean the whole shoepolish incident and everything..... not to mention the fact that they were 9 1/2 games out or something in August... must have been the cubs bad luck... combined with their good luck... cmon... baseball doesn involve some luck now and then... so youre point becomes null....
and I disagree with you too BigDaddy.. the mets will win their division next year... fairly easily too... the rest of the national league... at least over the course of a whole season... is inferior.... and I dont see that changing anytime soon...
