| Yo Buckshot! Posted: 2/24/2006 10:44:23 AM | ^^^ WHAT ? Puppets.... u mean they're not real | |
|
| Yo Buckshot! Posted: 2/24/2006 10:32:07 PM | It's ok coldone - she's only kidding! Of course, Casey and Finnegan were real! And they had a very nice treehouse too - until that stupid crow moved in and took over.
I was so annoyed when I watched Mr. Dressup with my oldest son when he was small and there was a D*MN crow living in Casey and Finnegan's house - where did they go?
As for the Friendly Giant - loved the show - but the rooster in the bag freaked me out!

| Yo Buckshot! Posted: 4/25/2008 12:08:00 PM | | Hell, yeah...! I was on the Buckshot Show in....hmmm?.....had to be about 1978, or 1979. It was for my birthday...and indeed, he announced it. LOL. | |
|
| Yo Buckshot! Posted: 4/25/2008 12:22:59 PM | well I grew up farther east on the praries, and on a farm, so if CBC did not carry it..........never seen it, so nope never heard of Buckshot - sounds like Crusty the Clown though. lol
Was never a big fan Mr.Dressup, though maybe should have been more, once older thought he did a great job. Freindly Giant was cool, and Rusty the Rooster was what it was all about, not freaky at all. But then we raised laying hens at the time so was used to seeing chickens in boxes on the wall.
Lots of people you talk to hate(d) Mr Rogers, I never really liked him, until, I was reading somehting about Lee Marvin and Captain Kangaroo, apparently Mr Rogers was decorated U.S. Navy Seal, had to wear the sweaters to cover the Navy tats. if this is true (never checked it out cuz don't know real his real name) Have to have a whole new respect for the guy, to have that kind of training and be that calm.
to those of you who knew this Buckshot guy, good for you, sounds cool. We just had Gainer the Gopher and Bob McGrath hosting Telemiracle once a year, ooops almost forgot Alvin Law (born Armless but drives, plays the drums, writes, all with hs feet).

| Yo Buckshot! Posted: 4/25/2008 4:55:42 PM | Edmontonian. Watched Popcorn Playhouse. Was on the show twice for other's birthdays, but never my own.
They showed a cartoon on Popcorn Playhouse, called or about Batfink. Remember? "My wings are like a shield of steel" I love that line!
Was his sidekick a mouse? A Squirrel? He had some tiny creature helping him out, didn't he? What was the creature and what was it's name please?

| Yo Buckshot! Posted: 4/25/2008 5:17:52 PM | | Hey, I met Buckshot twice in my life. Once when I was 5 or 6 when I was on the show. It was pretty neat! I remember him being a pretty decent guy. I met him a 2nd time when I was 18, and it seemed to me again that he was a pretty cool guy. Maybe he's bipolar? lol | |
|
| Yo Buckshot! Posted: 4/25/2008 5:38:33 PM | Buckshot! Never met him in person. My bro was on the show though.

Little 6 year old Fox.... name tag managed to move it's way down to my knee, on t.v.... (but I won a train set by throwing the ball at the tacky doors!!) LMAO!
Thank goodness they don't archive those old videos, as it would have changed my 25th birthday altogether. lol
I've never heard of Buck Shot, but sounds like an AWESOME GUY!!
