I was very young when I realized each persons perception and definition of love was different.. then over and over I had to re-learn that lesson.. and we have no way of knowing when a person uses this word that they mean what we mean
That being said perhaps it is worth pondering the idea that love does not exist anywhere except inside our heads.. which means we don't have to go find it.. and in fact probably can't find it.. because the image we created in our heads.. is just a concept we cling to.. an illusion in that sense.. like chasing a ghost..
ANother thing probably worth mentioning here is that "love" is just a word.. a symbol we use to communicate a concept to each other except.. we are basically trying to convert chemical and elecrical signals from our brain into something we can name and talk about.. I'm not sure it is truly possible to efficiently share that kind of concept in a clear and agreed upon sense..
Perhaps there is some external thing called "love" I certainly can not say for sure, but evidence does seem to indicate that if everyones concept of this is different.. than there really is no such thing as "love" in the sense that it is some force that exists on its own..
Hmm from that angle love is like reality, but that is a different babbling session.. | |

Posted: 11/1/2006 8:57:19 AM | The only person you need to love in life is YOU. Trust me, I lost that love and respect for myself in my last relationship and am now starting to gain it back. It's a great feeling. I am not talking about being concieted, just appreciating the good things within yourself. Once you have that then you can be in fulfilling relationships where 'love' is a factor.
I have met some interesting friends here so far though from all different walks of life, that I would probably never meet in day to day life. | |

My user name was Pienk, I found love on this site after two months and after meeting a hand full of people and going through the abuse some of the guy's put the girls through as some of them think we are here for a good time only...I helped my friend "Meisie" register on here now so she my also find happiness...anyway, it was love at first sight and we have been together for three months now, after another three months we want to move in together. One thing I will say to all seekers out there COMUNICATION always talk about your feelings about what you want and where you see yourself in the future .... by doing this you will soon know if you were ment to be or not!!! I am still very much in love and very happy...his parents also love me and my parents love him...things can only get beter!!!!

I have made tons of friends from around the country, Canada, and out side the US. I have learned a lot about Thier areas, and what is the same/different than where I've lived. I have recieved a better education, through these conversations, than if I had traveled there.
