I have met some wonderful men who live to damn far away and then the ones who live close you don't hear from. When I email back they say well we were waiting to hear from you? Then they block you?????? I can't figure anything out anymore. Try to start with a friendship... haha seems alot of men figure sex is included in the friendship or as part of the first date. Sorry fella's not a prude but be real. You don't even know somebody and they want to talk about sex... Pretty close to just giving up. I came onto this site because I have been widowed for a bit over three years. My GOD what a shock I got. Just looking for somebody who is nice looking on the outside but just as nice on the inside.  | |

right on brother ,i had got the same thing. this is what u have to look at here on pof or any other dating site's what i have discoverd is this there are few who have a hard time letting go of there past relationship's and still carry on the weight and mabe it's a way for them to find some one to take there pain away god only know's .i have met a couple on this site and yes some can be a little on the weird side or even some will have u take them out and never talk to u again i seen it all .
or some put a profile on here and want a long term relationship but dont have the time to build it or they work to many hour's ect . But any how sure it's hard to find some one i dont bother looking the way i see it if it's ment to be it will happend on it's own .
i even seen some who have a profile on here and never respond when i first started with pof this was wierd i im this women from town one night nothing major but a good chat the next min she blocked me it's like omg lol and i had another who gave me her number we spoke and a couple day's later she sent me a letter and said her brother was a state cop and he didnt want her dating any one on here and she was 41 or 42 year's old omg again so there are a few on here can mislead you and im sure out there there are few who are realy looking for a good person there's plenty of fish in the sea my grandfather used to say just differnt shape's and size's my opion is this when the right one come's along you will know and then you will find happyness untill then never give up keep your head up it will come . | |

Posted: 9/7/2008 5:27:20 PM | Sadly it seems that all too many people don't even have the common courtesy to reply with a "thanks, but no thanks" or even a "I don't think we're a good match. Good luck in your search", which is ashame as I see so much more potential here than on some of the other sites. Of course, lacking common manners makes me think that I wouldn't want to have gotten involved with that sort of person anyway. I then think of the people who can even say "Thank You" when the door is held open for them.
The lack of common courtesy is a sad statement of how society has deteriorated. | |

Its amazing how so many lie and so many are married and that is usually the reason there is no picture. they will give you plenty of excuses as to why they cant post a picture. I think the only two good reasons are (1. they are married and (2. they are really ugly. Those are the only two good reasons I can think of. Why else would they hide?? | |

Posted: 9/19/2009 4:59:53 AM | I've gotten close, but it's usually with women who live a great distance away like New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. There are some real super women out there who have it all together ... too bad they aren't within a reasonable driving distance.
I can't figure out what word describes the Connecticut women I've corresponded with best: shallow, superficial or discourteous. Between the lack of courtesy in sending any sort of reply to just being downright rude in their response. It says quite a bit about the women in this state, not to mention the human condition.
Finding love on any site is next to impossible where the participants can't even be polite enough to read someone's profile, let alone use the reply button. | |
