Did anyone read the latest version of Dragracing Illustrated. Jason Scruggs put down a 3.666 at 207 in the 1/8th at the last ADRL Race.

He ran a 7.25 I believe it was. We run 1/8th mile mainly. Normally we run the 4.70,4.90,5.00,and 5.30 classes.

Stock LS1 WS6 6-speed with 100K miles and a full tank of gas and a HORRID 60' time (babying the 7.5" rear-end) of 2.45 and ran a 14.1@102mph granny shifting.

Just babying it until I can afford something fast after I graduate.

What year is that WS.6? Even with the miles, don't be afraid to romp on it every now and then. The LS1 cars will last 200k miles as long as you take care of it.

Just be careful in those cars 6-speed cars at the track. Just turn the tires over a little bit, don't try to do a "John Force" style burnout, or you'll snap that rear end. Have you ever changed the rear end bearings in that car?

If the WS6 is stock beat the shit out of it at the track the rear end won't break even if it was a full bolt on car its still good to go!!!

I've seen them break with Drag Radials. Of course anything will break if you rev... it to the chip and dump it with a spec clutch. Especially if it wasn't built for it. I learn the hard way...

last time i checked, TRACTION (or "hook"), or WHEEL HOP (or "shake") breaks an axle 99.9% of the time, ive never heard of, nor have i ever seen anyone break an axle doing the "john force" style burnouts....maybe TRYING to do one when they 1st dump it, but never once they tires break loose.

besides, if youre serious, and doin any real horse power, or on slicks, you really should be on racing axles and studs anyway (ws-6 doin anything close to a "john force" burnout aint stock unless its on el-cheapo skinny tires anyway,so yeah, dont dump money under the hood if you cant dump it into the rest of the drivetrain, and besides, if youre on slicks and not upgrading your axles, the local tech at your track aint doin his job, youre not supposed to be allowed to run anything but exihibition passes for safety reasons)

Ok, im throwing a 4cyl in here, I have a 92' Eagle Talon TSI AWD, it ran a 11.97 1/4. Honestly not much done to it either, I bought the car for $300 about a year ago, put about $800 in it, and now it has 400hp to the crank, and will run an 11.97 on street tires, on the street, and with pump gas, thanks to the AWD

not me, its a real pain to sit in the bleachers and shoot a vid of myself goin down the track, im just not that talented......yet

but i DO have a single digit time slip, which is pretty good for a car thats set up for open road racing (Silver State).

Might have a Vid coming if they have a clip from the last race. We laid down the best so far this weekend for my monte carlo in the 1/8th. Went a 1.009 at the 60ft and 2.94 at the 330ft. 4.53 in the 1/8th mile at 157 mph. All on 1 system of Nitrous Oxide. Going to try to get into the 4.40s. We put a new 632 and the 4.53 pass was only the 4th pass we ever went with this motor.

Neet Monte Carlo !

Hi from UK
Always been into cars and customs and would love to have a go at dragging / Run What Ya Brung . I navigate in rally cars ( historic class Mini Cooper S
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILf77N1CR2U , 1 minute 50 into the vid ! ) but would like to have a go at the challenges and techniques of drag racing

Have to say though that the language and technicalities that you guys are talking mean absolutely squat to me - you might as well be speaking german!!
