| What do we think of POF compared to other well known Australia sites Posted: 6/12/2007 6:47:43 PM | I tried o k c u p i d (had to space that out cos the computer censored it first time around..??) this year, just for a few weeks, but I didn't like it. I'm not sure why really (or maybe I secretly crave the company of uneducated morons ) but it felt 'cold' or something. It was probably just that I still liked the forums approach better than the other aspects of any dating sites. I don't even search profiles on this site...ignorance is bliss from the sounds of it....but only use forums, viewed me and favourites to see who is around the place. I'm still on RSVP, but rarely log in despite emails telling me there are kisses there because it's just a bit hard to get terribly excited about yet more kisses from men who haven't read a word I've written. | |

| What do we think of POF compared to other well known Australia sites Posted: 6/12/2007 11:21:01 PM | I hold a phd in life .... does that count? the uneducated morons (that aren't posters) I have chatted to so far have been much more friendly bunch than any other dating site, haven't chatted with any of the educated posters as yet so cannot comment on their status. Am sure all of this is tongue in cheek though. | |

| What do we think of POF compared to other well known Australia sites Posted: 6/12/2007 11:35:44 PM | | It's a great site for browsing but I am often frustrated by the amount of time it freezes. Am also a bit annoyed by the number of women who do not bother to reply to emails or IMs. Find it the height of rudeness - if your not attracted to me, say so! I am a big boy. I can cope with your rejection. | |

| What do we think of POF compared to other well known Australia sites Posted: 6/13/2007 6:11:24 AM | Divas up and posts........
I like this site. Most of the people I have met and talked with are REAL which has been difficult to find on others. I have only been on here a couple of months but have been on a few dates and regularly get emails etc.
And now I'm off to diva another topic....hehe

| What do we think of POF compared to other well known Australia sites Posted: 6/13/2007 7:28:13 AM | Are you up yourself Naamah? And what causes you to take such an interest in my level of self-confidence all of a sudden Robbyg? My references to morons and phD's? Maybe if you read posts prior to mine you'll see where that banter came from. And how can you say that phrasing a question in such a way is not to be considered "having a go" at someone. It is insulting in its very nature and well you know it. Ask me a civil question and I'll answer it. | |

| What do we think of POF compared to other well known Australia sites Posted: 6/13/2007 1:35:45 PM | To keep on topic, let me just interrupt this discussion with a music/karaoke video:
Love, exciting and new Come Aboard. We're expecting you. Love, life's sweetest reward. Let it flow, it floats back to you.
Love Boat soon will be making another run The Love Boat promises something for everyone Set a course for adventure, Your mind on a new romance.
Love won't hurt anymore It's an open smile on a friendly shore. Yes LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! (hey-ah!)

Awesome. That was refreshing....
Ok. Back to the fight. Ding ding.

| What do we think of POF compared to other well known Australia sites Posted: 6/13/2007 7:35:39 PM | Calm down, kiddies. I am the evil girl that mentioned "uneducated morons", not Naamah.
I guess what I was really talking about are those guys out there that feel the urge to Instant Message me (and yes, I have now turned that option off) or email me, still asking if I want to bonk them, even though my profile says I am "not single/not looking" AND that I am only "here for the forums" AND after I have re-iterated both points in our Instant Message/Email discussion.
I mean how much more moronic can you get?

So the answer is your not?.
I have the usual contrasting mix of vanities and insecurities like every other human on the planet, but overall I accept the good and the bad of who I am. I think that being how I am has enabled me to survive the testing situations life has thrown at me thus far, and I've seen the very best and worst of myself in some pretty extreme situations. Although I have good and bad days as do we all, the way I live my life perfectly suits who I am. I have a clear idea of what is important to me in my life. The upshot of all that is that I am pretty comfortable in my own skin and I actually quite like being me. If that = "up myself" in your world, then colour me "up myself". Sincerely hoping this satisfies your curiosity.
We doing truth or dare? Wanna tell me why you have such a persecution complex? eg. Why every time someone disagrees with you, you say they are "prejudiced against you"?

Thats easy because i am always right :) so if someone disagrees with me it IS because theyre prejudice against me, even though they are ignoring my facts on any matter that i Post..

In all honesty, apart from the smart cookies that post here on the forums, I have found the average POF profiler to be an uneducated MORON. At first, I thought it may just be that the service is free, and hence, it attracts people that can barely spell and/or be bothered to fill out their profile.
I have to agree to an extent. I sometimes share the more moronic emails I get with a friend and she quaintly told me that I have to stop hanging out at the online equivalent of Rooty Hill (if you are a sydneysider -or any other suburb where the dregs of society tend to congregate).
