One guy when I had to cancel plans to go out with him because of child care issues. He came over and brought homemade lasagna and a few beers and hung out with me. I thought the dinner was great. He did this a few times.
There are all kinds of sweet gestures when my son was sick in the hospital and I hadn't slept for days another guy brought me dinner. I don't there are a lot more but that is just sweet. | |

I admire him starring at me all the time, paying attention like when I was tired...he would tell me..honey why don't you go to bed you look really tired. Go get some rest...did not have to buy me the world just the more simple things of life. | |

Made me soup and looked after me despite my red, puffy nose and my bulging eyes--face the looked like it hit a wall at 40kph/h. I looked disgusting. But he didn't mind. He stood by and took care of me and proved that he wasn't around only for the good times. | |

Posted: 5/24/2005 8:22:12 PM | It wasn't something he actually did, but something I overheard. A friend came over to talk with my husband about his wife, who he suspected of cheating on him.
He asked my husband, "Have you ever wondered if she (me) has ever cheated on you?"
My husband said, "Never. I would NEVER think she could do that to me."
He was right before I heard it, but I would have layed down and died for him after I heard it. What a wonderful thing to overhear. | |

Posted: 5/25/2005 8:35:28 AM | An ex showed up unexpectedly after work just to drive me home .....and he brought me a large large rum and diet :) Instead of an hour+ bus ride....I sat in comfort sipping my drink and was home in 30 mins. AWESOME and so very sweet.
Too bad he wasn't that thoughtful when we were seeing each other LOL | |

Posted: 5/26/2005 2:59:45 PM | I drove an old old truck to Florida from New Jersey. At the border between North Carolina and South Carolina it broke down and just would not start.
He was all set to leap into his car and drive those 900 miles to come and save me. I had to beg him to stay and I would find a way to work it out. Made me promise to call him every half hour till I knew what would happen.
I was (and to this day I still am) soooo impressed. It floors me that he would do this. | |

The flowers made me feel special and really helped me feel better about the date... later on he proved to be not as good as the flowers but that was ok... I hope that some of the things I do for mr. special makes an impression like the flowers did for me.. | |

Posted: 5/27/2005 5:59:02 AM | I'd have to say that the nicest thing was that it was my birthday and money was tight for him, but he sold one of the things he loved (video game machine) to buy me a gift.
Came home my aptartment was clean from top to bottom and the cupboards fully stocked with groceries. he did even live there. LOL
I was in the hospital and he took time off work and slept in a cot beside me for 6 days. | |

I think i'm still waiting for the 'nicest' thing a man could do for me... as of yet.. I cant honestly remember something so nice thats been done that stands out above the 'simple' things that are done on dates. I'll have to think about this... it's gonna hurt lol | |
