| What do your parents think of you being on a Internet Dating Site? Posted: 6/26/2007 10:20:14 PM | My parents were bad, mmmkay? My dad offered me a joint at 14 and my mum offered to take me to the doctor and get the pill at 16 - so, I tell them NOTHING about my life.
I live quite happily as a result!
Who cares what anyone thinks about internet dating? If it works for you, keep doing it! If it doesn't, find something else.
By the way did anyone miss me? I have been as sick as a dog for about 5 days with tonsilitis and haven't set foot near a computer .... I bet no-one even noticed

^^^Just thought you'd hooked up with a fellow bohemian Boho. Should be a search for that! PS: From what you've said, your parents sound a little bohemian themselves.
Yes Leatheryman, I have hooked up with my own Boho-Dude, who I met on the internet. Woohoo! But, I must say, it was on a different site ... *shock, horror*
As for my parents being bohemian, I prefer the term "dysfunctional" thankyou very much

But he liked my last bf who I "ordered on the internet" so I think he's somewhat reassured that it's not full of axe murderers and weirdos.

| What do your parents think of you being on a Internet Dating Site? Posted: 6/27/2007 1:32:29 AM | my parents say nothing.... before dating sites there were just chat rooms where people use to hook up and do what they do.... i have been on here for 10 years now (online that is) so i have had alot of hook ups... a few serious relationships... and 1 child from the result of a relationship with someone online.
all my family is online and they just see it as a easy way to communicate with others being it on a personal level or business...
so i just go about what im doing i had never been open with my private life with them before and im not now.....lol.. there are some things i like to keep private even in a close knit family....

No I wouldnt like that either! He knows its up to me and I will make my own decisions and he has to trust my judgement

When I grow up I will bi*ch more...nothing to be afraid of since it seems a pre-requisite to either just ramble or mis-spell (or both).
My Mum would be proud right now......I don't talk to her often enough either.

My mum seems to think that the internet is just full of sickos and perverts but the way I see it, so are pubs and clubs. I personally haven't met or dated many people from the internet and the ones I have, have been losers but I guess I could have easily have met them by other means and they would still be losers.

| What do your parents think of you being on a Internet Dating Site? Posted: 7/8/2007 1:37:47 AM | My poor Mum would be a bit out of her depth like Hilly's Mum and then would ramble on with why she wouldn't get a computer and how she does not understand the net and how the world has changed and her friends think she should learn to use a computer but she's 'to old to learn' and how her friends think she shold move into a nursing home but she's 'to young' and she doesn't 'know what the world is coming to when ypou have to met people with out seeing them......etc, etc, etc. I don't think I'll ask her. It will drive me to drink | |

Posted: 7/8/2007 1:41:06 AM | How with the kids its a different story. 21 year old son is shocked, thinks I'm nuts and that no one is honest. On the other hand, my daughter put me on here. "Mum, you need to get a boyfriend' . So there's no way I can please everyone so I'll just have to please myself
