Posted: 2/5/2005 5:45:48 AM | i think it depends on the people, the one lady said it all when she said this is 2005 and the net has become the new thing... so what if u have never met in person before!
That is just the "psysical" part, if you are that interested in someone you probably would have been on cam, phone etc chatting and getting to know one another a while before you met them, therefore you already "know" them on a way more deeper level than if you had met them in person first.
I slept with my ex the first time we met in person and i think it was because of that, that it turned into a relationship, it may have just been a net flirt thing otherwise. yes he is now my ex but that is only cause of "drugs" which he got into after we lived together for a year.
If you are asking this because you think this may become your situation go with whatever feels right at the time, dont try and over analyse it too much beforehand because then its not natural. | |

It certainly wouldn't preclude me from pursuing a real relationship with them if our personalities clicked. | |

Posted: 2/5/2005 8:15:32 AM | i agree sweetazzcanadian, there was a guy in my hometown who had always lingered in the back of my mind........like, hmmmmmmmmmmmm what would it be like, he really trips my trigger.....he was actually in school with my younger brother and sister...........and every time we were around each other the sparks were there.................but one of us always seemed to be in a relationship with someone else at the time, so scince neither one of us was cheaters, nothing happened, but even without talking about it we knew it was a mutual thing.................then 13 yrs later, lo and behold we ran into each other single and the spark was still there.............we went out on a date, wound up in a nice hotel for the weekend, had great time, satisfied the old curiousity and simply went back to being friends............with no regrets at all...........and nothing to be ashamed of..........we still greet each other with a hug when we see each other, still like each other alot, still find each other attractive..............but we realize the qualities we like in each other make us good friends and we leave it there. | |

Posted: 2/5/2005 1:52:34 PM | | I've been in this situation.....i've slept with 4 guys on the first date(over a couple years time, lol) i met all of them online, and we had talked for quite a while before we met in person. 2 of the guys and i were only meeting for fun, nothing serious, except one of them ended up being a 10 month long, very serious relationship. one of the problems we had though, was that he always held it against me that i slept with him on the first date! we were only meeting for "fun" not a relationship but he asked me to be his gf while we were having sex....i still dont understand why he was such a jerk to me about that. anyways... with the other two guys, i thought was going to start a relationship, but it turned out they only wanted sex(of course they tell me that afterwards, when beforehand they wanted a relationship). so my opinion of sex on the first date can be just fine or can go terribly wrong, it just depends on the people involved and what they know they want from eachother. :) just my 2 cents. | |

thats a little harsh. no one really asked for any advice either, just opinions, but thanks for the "information" about aids, because im sure all of the so-called "sluts" dont know how to have safe sex. ;) | |
