| Does perfume really work? Posted: 2/1/2007 2:56:06 PM | | My significant other and I went shopping for fragrances together, and it took a while but we picked out what we wanted to smell on the other person. So far, it's been great for both of us. I got him Dolce and Gabbana for men. Drives me wild. | |

| Does perfume really work? Posted: 2/2/2007 7:58:49 AM | OMG I get whiplash when someone yummy walks past me. I always try to ask what they're wearing so I can keep it in mind. I love to wear a perfume that works beautifully with my chemistry AND has a great name like... Delicious! Right now, I wear Sublime by Jean Patou and everyone loves it on me. I get more compliments than ever with Sublime. It just sounds fabulous when I say it in French also.
I personally prefer crisp clean scents on men or a subtle musk. I really cannot stand the spicy scents that seemingly many Asians and Latinos prefer. Too much for me or perhaps it's the amount they put on.
A good rule of thumb: One squirt on the back of your neck, one at your throat so you can smell it, one on the left wrist then rubbed gently against the right wrist. Don't bruise the scent by grinding!
For women, layer your scent by using a body wash, lotion or powder then the perfume.
Remember just because you may not be able to smell it immediately, doesn't mean you need another squirt. Your olfactory senses have become accustomed to the aroma. Just ask the person standing next to you what they think of your cologne or perfume. Any answer beyond "I can't smell anything" tells you it's still there!
