It's like they watched some movie on Lifetime Television for Women and the bad guy character who lies, cheats and terrorizes the poor innocent woman wore dark glasses.
LOL....I mean seriously, they are sunglasses. They don't mean a thing other than it was bright outside. | |

I personally am attracted to men that have beautiful eyes. So I want to see them!! lol | |

And most probably, when having to find a picture to post on this site, they just happen to like the way they smile in that particular picture. When you are away on vacation and you have your picture taken, is the first thing on your mind as the picture being taken is, oh shit, I should take my sunglasses off. Come on ladies, give the guys a break.
Its the ones that reply without giving you any information, the ones you need to worry about or the ones that say they travel to South Africa. SCAM, light bulb came on.
Have a wonderful days ladies and gentlemen. Not all hooks are baited for the wrong reason.

Usually, those large lumps of tissue they try to impress you with is in reality, a way to divert your eyes from what may flop below the cleavage. | |

Posted: 7/19/2008 9:00:22 AM | Like other men, I don't have alot of pics taken. I was golfing with my son on Father's Day weekend and he caught me by surprise. When it was taken, my first thoughts were not to remove my glasses because I may put it on an on-line dating site, and some women may find it offensive.
There's nothing strange or suspicious about it. It does not indicate he has something to hide, married, or aything else. It happens to be the time and place the picture was taken.
Don't prejudge! A man wearing dark glasses does not make him suspisious any more than a woman showing alot of cleavage make her a tramp. | |

One man down in Florida does a hilarious job of trying to hide his identity. His only pic shows him wearing an oversized, wide-brimmed white hat and some ridiculously huge sunglasses. Reminds me of a Peter Sellers movie! At least Peter Sellers was funy!! | |

Posted: 7/19/2008 10:36:37 AM | Personally, I consider it ignorant and "poserish" when anyone puts a pic like that as their profile(sunglasses pic I mean). It oozes "cheesy" even too much for a plate of lasagna! Profile pic should a head shot close enough to see facial features without hats nor sunglasses. And for crying out loud, please smile! You're advertising your look without all the other accessories, so make it an honest and appealing pic!
As far as guys having pics of themselves with a lot of female companions, the purpose for that could be one of many things. I.e. Check me out, I'm well liked! or Check me out, I know how to score! or This is me with my sisters or cousins! See where I'm going with this? Anyway, thought I'd share with the group! I wear glasses to see distances and they do darken in the sun. I try to take them off if I have a picture taken so people can see my eyes. No matter how much a man may complain, women do want to see your eyes, your eye color, your expression, they are the windows to your soul.
I update my pictures rather frequently, these are the things I wear, this is how I dress. If you don't care for my activities and what I wear during them, don't look. This is who I am and I prefer to remain active and stay healthy. I spend way too much time at this computer, so I love to go out, I love to swim, I love to explore, and I dress accordingly. | |

They will give you myriad reasons for wearing all this stuff, that hides what one wakes up to in the morning. I take my chances too, right?
BUT....guys....don't you dare wear a hat or sunglasses. You will be construed as something you are not.

Ladies DO look good with all their enhancements, (subjective,right?), so let the guys be themselves too.

I went to join a paying site and 1 of them (same piccie)came up, and judging by his profile he only wanted sex and a quick liason as his requirements were totally dishonorable, honestly?!?. On this site here. he was cool calm and collected, no indication he just wants SEX!!! I"m such an idiot

Ball caps that cast shadows over the face, more facial hair than Chubaka, or they don't smile and look like maybe they just passed a kidney stone. I want to see their teeth, but I am also attracted to happy people. Now I know as single folk we don't get many photo ops as people with families, but it is not that hard to take a clear pic of you face, do it yourself and put it online. I've gotten the nicest clearest pics just standing in front of my bathroom mirror, hold the camera over my reflection facing me, think of something funny, and click. A guy who doesn't care enough to try to be resourceful just isn't going to get the attention if nobody really knows what he looks like. Now I know guys probably get a little scared when the women don't have a full body shot, but my arm doesn't stretch far enough away to get one, and besides I already put it out there that I'm plus size so there shouldn't be any surprises. | |

I need to actually see the woman's face in her Primary Profile Photo. Her eyes, perhaps her smile, etc. in a well-lit , non-blurry, and current close-up (Not overly-lit, not 'artsy', not a weird angle, etc.)
Lord Knows I'm not going to win any Handsome Boy contests (My personality does most of the heavy-lifting, I guess), but my headshot IS me. There won't be any surprises with anyone I might meet and that's what I need from yours.
IMHO, The first photo is a "HERE is what I actually look like!" image. OTHER photos are about expressing yourself and celebrating your uniqueness. Sunglasses included. 
I don't necessarily think someone's intentionally hiding something with a bad photo, but I do believe that if your main picture covers your eyes, hair, whatever, (or is from a distance beyond a close-up) you ARE hidden to an extent....and that's off-putting to me personally. 
 I wouldn't even considering reading a message or profile for those without photos. That shows a fundimental lack of understanding of how most women and ALL men are. Talk about looking like you have something to hide!
I'm also not big on "Prefers Not To Say"
That IS about hiding something and thus, a serious Red Flag to me. No question. It's also painfully obvious what the true answer is anyway, so, what's the point?
Smoke: Prefers not to say = Smoker (Cough, cough, cough)
Kids: Prefers Not to Say = Kids (probably a whole shoe full)
Drugs: Prefers Not to Say = Big Cheech & Chong Fan
The exception to the above is your earnings. Obviously, you don't want personal financial information available on a public site. That's an invitation to all sorts of vultures (of either gender). Your occupation should be enough to give personal perusers a ballpark idea.
I'd list "Prefer Not to Say" If I were a Homeless guy, thousands of dollars in debt all the way up to Bazillionaire CEO of Major Bloodsucking and Evil Corporation .
(Hint: I'm somewhere between these two myself) 
So, back to those Photos....
Make your main picture fair for the peruser. Remember, it's displayed small, so, make it as clearly informational as possible with the small canvas available. Your potential mate is gonna see the truth (for better or worse) when you meet face-to-face...and you don't want to give the first impression that you mislead them with a less-than-forthcoming First Pic.
Your Milage May Differ...but that's how I see it.

Nahhh, it's me....don't like it, move on to someone with pretty eyes who may have been a wife beater....like it matters. Windows to the soul, my butt. It ain't just the eyes, but the expression, the face, the aura they portray as a package. The eyes can be expressive....but only for that point in time. JMO.

Guys who have pictures with a bunch of women indicates insecurity or trying to show off that they can be around attractive women = RED FLAG!
Here we go with the red flags again. How about:
Women posing with ex boyfriends
Women posing with several men, none of who are relatives
WOMEN wearing sunglasses
Women posing with huge dogs, inferring that they will have the dog attack you if you try anything funny
Women posing so far away you can't see their face
Women posing so close that all you can see is their eyes
Women with blurry photos
Women with no photos
See how ridiculous it can be to point fingers saying it's a red flag with a man does this, or when a woman does that? | |
