hockey the past 4 years,
skiing since i was 9
track from like 10 - 16
some cross country running in there for a year or two
basketball throughout highschool and university
football throughout highschool for 5 years
soccer in grade school and university
umm golf since i was about 14

Favorite was football tho - liked it much much more than rugby. | |

4 years of fast-pitch softball
2-1/2 years of volleyball
1-1/2 years of curling
1 year of baseball in South Africa
1 year of Ultimate Frisbee in Malawi - competitive game, but no teams fixed beforehand - on the day, we just split into 2 teams, and played until it got dark. Score was kept, unitl be stopped playing, and promtply forgotten by all. Ideal way to play sports socially
6 months of cricket
Dodgeball (2nd season - GREAT fun!! 15-20/gms per hour-long match)
"All-Sports" - every week a different sport - Floor hockey x 2, Dodgeball x 2, indoor soccer/benchball x 2, volleyball, basketball, curling, and "Amazing Race Toronto" as a finale
Do intra-mural leagues count (all players from same school)? If so, tack on a year of flag football, and of normal soccer | |

Ballet for 2 years
Jazz dance for the same 2 years
Figure skating for the next 2 years
Competitive swimming for the next 3 years
Basketball for 4 years
Volleyball for 5 years
Rowing for 1 year
And Soccer for 13 years

Posted: 2/16/2005 12:14:36 AM | Lets see, I played softball, volleyball, and track in school. oh, and field hockey until I broke someones finger. It really was an accident.
I was a stand-in for a missing person during a dart tournament.
Karate
I ran the Boston Marathon one year and several smaller marathons later.
A ton of Dragon Boat races. These are a blast. I also coached then was caller for a few teams that came in first place...yeah!
Outrigger race
shot-gunning beer - hey this is highly competitive around a lot of beer drinkers...lol
hmmm got pregnant before my brothers wife....does that count.... my brother did say, "race ya". | |

It would be my favorite sport if only you didn't have to head the ball :/ I played softball recently in a company league, but we sucked badly :) I almost played on an organized basketball team when I was studying abroad, but I left a semester early and missed the season. | |

Posted: 2/21/2005 3:11:38 PM | I had a basketball scholarship to a no name college. I actually thought I could be something, but I had a severe knee injury, not to mention I was a very big fish in a very small pond.

Posted: 2/24/2005 12:21:55 AM | Hmmm, does Track and Field in highschool count? Would you believe that teensy-weensy little me placed consistently in the top three in long jump and high jump? Just goes to prove that asians can jump!
Also cross country skiing. Our city hosted an international competition annually. They had everything from family runs of 2.5 km all the way to the serious competition routes of 55 km with an 11 pound pack. I did the 10km route. Lots of fun. Especially when our route merged with the family routes. I saw the cutest little 4 year old, legs pumping away, getting no where and grinning like mad!
I haven't competed in anything else but do enjoy a number of sports. | |
