| What sports have YOU competed in? Posted: 10/20/2005 10:48:48 PM | I've competed in a lot of sports including hockey, baseball, track and field, cross country, badminton, tennis, golf, football, basketball, volleyball. I've been to provincials in 6 of these sports and won 2 provincial titles in baseball and hockey, respectively. Definitely would consider myself a natural athlete. I LOVE sports!!!

Track and field 4 years (the one mile, pole vaulting). Kung Fu for a year. Only sparred twice though. Not good at it. Volleyball, baseball and softball. Kayaking. I have tried many others but nothing too competive.

| What sports have YOU competed in? Posted: 1/29/2006 3:25:38 AM | just a quick question...what exactly s orienteering...never heard of it Daniel orienteering is real fun. basically, its like a 3km or 10kmrace, but you do not know where the finish line is, and so you need to use a map + A campus!!! And the races tend to be held in forests or parks for example .. so not only do you need to be able to run fast, but you gotta read a map too! on the way to the finish line, you have to find lots of control points.
Incidentally, when i was in the French Army, we used to spend entire days+ nights training on orienteering.. really good for team binding i suppose!
Sports I've competed in a County/Regional/university level Athletics (800m, 400m and Long Jump) Basketball, Volleyball Chess DANCING Participated in lots more, but just the above involved me training 6days a week, so couldn't fit anymore others!!
And now? I've a knackered knee, dodgy shoulder, dodgy hip - and not sure i'd recommend high level sports to anyone else (unless they can afford to have first class medical attention)
