You know, I always find the ones that have to advertise that fact, are the ones that really shouldn't.

dont girls get turned on when guys know how to drive stick..?

i heard somewhere that how a guy drives is a direct reflection of how a guy is in bed.

Oh epicenter, stop with the victim-whining. Is it anyone's fault that you don't drive? If you'd dropped the chip on your shoulder for long enough to read the responses from women in this thread, those who claimed they found it a turn-off stated so not because they're materialistic - cripes, that doesn't even make sense. Most of us gals have our own vehicles, why would want yours? It's a turn-off because you expect a grown man to be mobile, to be able to get around, to take turns picking us up on a date or outing...and mostly, to have a license and vehicle shows responsibility for the most part. If you want to make YOUR mistake the fault of women everywhere, that is your choice. Uh huh.

total turn off. If he doesn't have a car but does have a license, at least he can drive yours when you don't want to. If he has no license it's like you're the taxi service in the relationship.

HA! My comment wasn't meant as a personal attack, I was just saying if a guy has to SAY he's a good lover, he usually isn't. Men who are great in bed, don't need to advertise that fact.

But looks like I hit a nerve. Why don't you take the bus over here and we can duke it out. Oh wait, it's 11:14pm and the buses have stopped running.

honesty gets a guy nowhere! now i dont drive, so i am i'm less of a man...i did drive, lost my license a year ago...people make mistakes..and i will drive again...but this goes out to the materialisitic girls with the superficial ideals. hopefully you will find your sugardaddy, who buys your hearts desire...and then cheats on you with your best friend

epicenter - no, the chip is definitely on yours, in fact I do believe it's a cow patty :)

i knew that material possesions was what truly catches a girls attention

So - because you made a mistake and don't have a car/can't drive, those of us who are turned off by a guy who doesn't drive are somehow materialistic? Let's see .... 2+2 is definitely not adding up to 4 here.

Let's see. I am a woman. I have an SUV that I enjoy and take care of. Oh, and I drive it. If I met a guy who made a mistake and lost their license, I must be materialistic because I'm put off by the fact that he's a grown man and lost his license? It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that maybe he was charged with impaired driving? (lack of respect for other motorists such that he could kill someone, including my friends or loved ones) or that he's gotten into so many accidents and/or gotten so many tickets that his license was suspended? (lack of maturity and responsibility and the realization that getting behind the wheel is a privilege, not a right)? No, sonny - it has nothing whatsoever to do with materialism - I've got my own shiny vehicle, I don't need yours - but if I wanted to be a taxi driver, I'd go sit outside the airport. If I wanted to be in a relationship where, if we ever went somewhere, I'd have to drive, I'd become a chauffeur. Okay - yes, we all make mistakes and hopefully we learn from them - but the price your paying for your mistake is your issue - and a grown woman taking issue with a guy who's obviously broken the law such that he lost his license, that's not materialism, that's just good common sense.

I always hate it when a guy I want to go out with doesn't drive. I always think, in the back of my mind, am I going to be supporting some loser who uses me up, and just gives me sex? Will the sex even be worth it?

... oh crap, did I just say that out loud?

i'm all about passenger seats, if they're leather too *blink blink*

no wait, that sounded so much better in my head..

yes right driving, people, losing your license won't win awards it means you were irresponsible with a 2000lb death missle full of explosive gas. Stick to the busses and cabs please..

For those of you who haven't driven, come ON you don't know what you're missing.. you could be driving a 2000lb death missle full of explosive gas. You'll gain respect and envy of your other carless friends..

I don't drive for medical reasons.

If a man doesn't drive, it makes meeting very very difficult. I wouldn't rule out dating a man who doesn't drive, but would prefer somebody who does, and preferably owns a car as well.

The sort of car doesn't matter, but whilst we are on the subject, preferably one that doesn't leak - it rains a lot in the UK
