what professions to me I would consider a turn off............. Strippers hookers Wall street executives Federal NDP leader porn stars
cdn ice-man, you repeat yourself..most of those could be classed as 'hookers'.
i hope all the people who think construction workers & factory workers suck are consistent with their convictions and avoid living in constructed houing, or using cars, refrigerators or otherr factory-produced products.
because really, it would be better if EVERYONE just produced and shuffled paper, like lawyers, accountants , etc. do
try eating or living in paper..

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 2/5/2009 8:09:10 AM | I am turned off by lawyers who work a lot of insurance/disability cases... and other crooks. Everything else is gravy... except for correctional officers. I haven't met too many that were worth a c r a p as a person, and the nice ones are rare. Not that I've had any personal experience with correctional officers... | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 2/5/2009 10:06:36 PM | Stripers? There are no stripers in any of the lakes or streams near me, but it looks like they would be a lot of fun to catch. Not as much a challenge as muskies or big pike, though...
Oh, you meant strippers ... but really, what could be more fun than a sexy, booty-rocking stripper? Geez, all those estrogen-like hormones and toxic pesticides in the food really are shrinking men's stones...
Nurses ... I can think of few things sexier than a gal in a nurse's uniform ... Ooh la la!
Really, as long as they're not doing something heinously evil ... such as "dirty work" for some heartless corporation ... I really don't care.

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 2/5/2009 11:22:09 PM | interesting...what is your profession?
Judgemental you are....sales people for the most part are professional people that don't bs...if it wasn't for sales people there would be a lot of people without jobs. Clearly you are not trusting and have no idea on how to read people or get to know them. Most people have good intentions and act like themselves, not try to decieve and trick people. I find that when you are accusing people of such, it is probably because you are doing it yourself...judging people to make yourself feel better. Pretty sad

Just because they wouldn't let you off of a ticket when they knew that's why you asked them out. At least you know they'll put their life on the line for you...

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 2/6/2009 7:21:30 PM | | Being habitually unemployed while living on state unemployment is a HUGE turn off to me. That was my ex's "profession"- living on unemployment. How about a professional mooch? You know, those people who really don't do anything except live with other people while totally sponging off of them? If you notice, no matter how broke or destitute these types of people claim to be, they always seem to manage to be able to fund their "habits", be it cigarettes, porn or racing. It's a shame that they can't be as creative about finding a J-O-B, isn't it? | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 2/6/2009 9:44:08 PM | well i'm a nurse, a model in my spare time for extra money, and I work in retail sometimes to help my parents out at their store.
all of those were mentioned as turn offs. I guess I'm not getting any.

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 2/7/2009 4:23:36 AM | kerri,
Obviously i'm not a guy so can't speak for them totally, but I think it was traveling sales people who were the turnoff, not retail, and if my memory serves correctly nurses were talked about pretty favorably by some guys (and I doubt in spite of how guys say they feel about the idea of models they'd have a problem dating one for real)... so I'm guessing you're probably getting any after all :)
