(Well, now, hold on. Let's think about that for a minute...Maybe that has possibilities!!! LOL!)

< If this icon is a blood-sucker, I'm not really that fond of it, either! < suddenly all these icons look freakishly Evil...
I think I would be too motified to date a mortician, though it could be cute when she says "I See Dead People" and just think of all the free make-up practice & samples, she would get!HAAAAA! A side-show circus freak could be scary, as well!

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 3/6/2006 7:36:01 PM | As usual all about laughs, u make me laugh. That one is a great technique u came up with to get rid of the gold diggers. Genious! Now as for me, I never judged anyone over what they do. What I hate is when they tell me what they do, and it is them who r embarrassed over their jobs. I don't know, like he cleans offices or banks or works at a grocery store or corner store or stuff like that. I hate it just as much for being judged over what I do for a living, so why should I judge? As long as he can pay his bills and doesn't bum money off me I'm a happy camper. Unless he's a male striper or escort. Ok, those r exceptions. | |

The only exception to that, is if it is one of the real lucky ones who found a way to make a living with their true passion and calling...those folks are truly blessed/lucky.
About the only profession I would have a problem with would be the "oldest profession" .....and maybe if they were Dr. Kevorkian's assistant (if he had one..think he might be in jail though). Wouldn't even have an issue if she was a stripper, if she enjoyed what she was doing.

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 3/6/2006 7:50:09 PM | well i dunno about professions... a job is a job is a job, although i guess I wouldn't be able to handle dating a stripper or a prostitute... not because there's anything wrong with it, i'm just jealous as hell and i would have to kill every client they saw
being in school, a girl who is in university is a huge plus to me
that's not to say non-students or college students have no chance, but I generally perfer someone whith whom I can have an intelligent discussion... some university students are still unable to do this, while some college and non-students are able to do this extremely well
my point? do i have to have one?

i can't say that any profession is a turn off. there are certain jobs i wouldn't like my partner to do (male stripper, hitman, etc), but it wouldn't be a deal breaker. if a person is happy in the profession they choose, then they are most likely happy with themselves.
Are you kidding me - being a HITMAN isn't a dealbreaker?!?!?
Scary stuff! | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 3/6/2006 10:05:52 PM | Hey! I see that some of you have listed doctors and nurses as turnoffs. BOOOOO!
Nurses and doctors care for those who are sick and are there for you when you need them.
I could never be a nurse or doctor because I am so squeamish. I am not brave enough to do what they do every day. I admire them so greatly for their compassion and care for people.
And to ever badmouth a surgeon would make me feel terrible. One of my favorite friends was a neurosurgeon who died in a bad plane crash a few years ago. He was a true friend, and always there for me. He was never too busy to call me and say hello. He and I used to go flying together, and he used to let me fly his plane. I'll always cherish his memories. My friend was loved by everyone who knew him. He was one of the kindest and most loving people I ever knew in my life. I still miss him even after all these years. No doubt he is in Heaven now being richly rewarded for an honorable life of saving people's lives doing very difficult surgeries, yet being a wonderful friend to everyone who knew him. He may be gone but is never forgotten.
I count among my beloved relatives several wonderful health care professionals.
Being a doctor or nurse would be a HUGE plus with me because I admire them so much!!!! I take it personally when people say bad things about either profession!
DW, a big fan of both doctors and nurses

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 5/24/2006 9:51:54 PM | | As long as the other person is grown up enough to be able to pay there bills and knows what they want in life I am happy. I am a engineer and a lot of girls think I am nerdy cuz of the title but yo I'd rather pay my bills on time and build a future then just be something I am not. | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 5/24/2006 10:39:49 PM | | I'm a bit disenchanted over people who think salespeople are the bad guys. I never considered myself a salesperson although I am. Technically I consider myself a finance person but try telling that to my peers. Let it be known that there are some of us out there trying to make it right for the underdog. That would be me! | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 5/24/2006 10:46:19 PM | Thank god nobody listed bartender. Yay! I think if you're really out of shape, you could list male stripper in an all-you-can-eat restaurant. R. BTW: I'm tending the VH1 Rock Honors Awards tommorrow at Mandalay Bay! Kick-A$$!! | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 5/24/2006 11:15:27 PM | wow nurse haters! that surprises me , I've always gotten positive feedback about what I do. And by the way whoever said "look at what nurses do" do you even know what we do? I won't get started (believe me I could) but I don't think any profession would be a turn off unless it's an illegal one! so do unemployed people turn you on then? | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 5/25/2006 6:53:10 AM | NURSES ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH. Any one who has been inside the walls of any hospital understands. Nurses do ALL the work Doctors are too busy to do. I can understand the 'íck' factor though a good health professional understands protection better than you or me! I salute all the solid nurses in the world. Thank You! Live to be the changing force! | |

| What professions are a turn off? Posted: 5/25/2006 8:57:56 AM | | I don't see a problem with any profession listed, or any not listed. It's who the person is, not what they do for a living, that's important to me. What would be interesting is if people would tell why people with certain professions aren't appealing to them. Simply listing the profession doesn't say much. | |
