| Favourite Saturday Night Live Skit, Or Comedian?
Posted: 3/6/2006 5:46:42 PM | Phil Hartman was great. I'll always love Gilda Radner (Roseanne Roseannadanna; Baba Wawa) too. Most of the originals: John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd (Julia Child), Jane Curtin, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy (Buckwheat) etc. Never a big Chevy Chase fan. Dana Carvey & Mike Myers (Wayne's World! - especially the skit with Aerosmith). Dana Carvey as the Church Lady was always a riot. Headwound Harry kinda sick but made me laugh.
Some of the better skits had the celebrity hosts poking fun at themselves. | |

I enjoyed the blues brothers, but i was a bit young for belushi and the others. I remember Mr. Bill, big time though. I get to watch all the old shows now, over and over again on late night tv though. | |

Posted: 3/8/2006 6:03:30 PM | | Had to be hands down when John Belushi came out doing this imitaion of Joe****r while the dude was playing, he was even a bit timid, like Akeroid might have dared him or something but he eventually goes into this spastic spasm and him and****r are in sync! and finally he ends up on the floor just spazzing out oh God I laughed so hard I literaly fell off the couch and was rolling on the floor right along with them! Please somebody tell me they have that on a disk somewhere I have not seen it for years! | |

the time Jim Carrey hosted when Cable Guy was coming out-lifeguard skit, the roxbury skit, and the juice man skit "ride the snake" amlost made me pee my pants laughing!!
the time Patrick Stewart hosted-Loveboat:the next generation, the cakes decorated with women peeing, the bodyguard for micheal jackson skits
the time The Rock hosted and did the superman skit, and the Nicotrol stop smoking skit
Mike Myers doing the 'if its not scottish, its crap' skits, and the 'simon' the little kid who can draw skits
Alec Baldwin doing the 'i'm a handsome actor' skit
Adam Sandler doing operaman

He started to imitate some of the previous comedians routines:
"You know how you get that little flick of booger on the ti.....
"No you can't do that that is Gilda's Roasanna danna......
"WELL EXCUUUUSSSSSEEEE MMM......
"No Steve Martin.
"I just want to do the news, But NNNNOOOOO....
"Can't do that either John's
" I'm his brother he would want to give it to me!"
I know I suck at telling but was classic!

Posted: 3/13/2006 6:02:27 AM | Eddie is the best and yep that Ebony & Ivory skit was great and the one when Stevie Wonder was on auditioning for himself and Eddie says no you have to do it like this. Man he imitated Stevie perfect. Also his Gumby skits were a laugh.

Posted: 3/14/2006 9:51:26 AM | Hands down the old SNL crew still makes me laugh when I see an old episode on the Comedy Network. I'd say that Eddie Murphy is my all time favorite, but Dan Akroyd runs a close second. Anyone remember these two skits:
Dan Akroyd selling the Bass o Matic blender "Mnnn that's terrific bass" says Lorraine Newman.
And of course Dan and Gilda doing Mels char palace "where you select your own cow, stun it, kill it and cut your own steak, as thick and juicy as you like it, here's Mrs. Mel to show you how to work the saw" kills me everytime.
Let's also include John Belushi as the Samuri or in the Olympia Diner sketches "Cheesburger and Pepsi, no Coke" - har har. | |
