Actually, I don't have anything too heavy. It's mostly grammar and structure - so here we go!
I am not into head games, I want to always be told the truth not what you think I want to hear.
This should be two sentences, and puntuated just a bit differently. Try something like: "I am not into head games. I want to always be told the truth, not what you think I want to hear."
Near the end of your "about me", you get into a wee bit of a rant - or so it appears to this reader. I would end it after "physically attracted to the person.".. that's a good place to stop.

Jackie (ME) had a bad experience. I'm open to anything you might say that might resonate.
Every one of us falls flat on our face at some point -- some from great heights and some from lower heights. I've suffered a pretty significant face-plant, no doubt about that.
I have a choice: I can be a victim, or a survivor. The difference is how long I lie there and cry, and how quickly I get up, stiffen the upper lip, and move on.
I've lost some security, I've lost some time, I've lost some money and some social standing... but thank god I'm not bed-ridden or brain-damaged or riddled with cancer...
I have work to do, I still have something to offer.
My soon to be ex, filed for divoce 5 days after I quit my job. Long story short, I prefer to be out of this house I called a home as quickly as possible. I'm very employable. I'm just emotionally off track at the moment I've got to put on that happy face and try to convince someone to hire me, in a hurry, yesterday.
I'm thankful this happened NOW. I'm 53 and I can will make a better life for me. Financially I'm a train wreck. My ex held all the cards. I did manage to have my own bank account (Thank God). So I'm not on the curb yet.

But I wanted to quickly add to my initial POST/REPLY.
I want my profile to convey ME.
My life currently, is off-track. Being in this site, allows me to get the affirmations that I need to just be strong and move on.
I love meeting people. And feel developing a friendship would be a very good thing, right NOW. Having said that, rebounding is dangerous. I have to be extremely careful, that I know. | |
