Sadly it's 'July' and not 'March' on account of not precisely having a licence right now

| motorbikes Posted: 2/15/2007 3:35:57 PM | | Blimey hellooo, an rd250, thats a blast from my past. First bike I ever had was a black and yelow one (did they make one in any other colour) with straight pipes. Paid £80 for it many years ago and loved it. Had the 350LC after that then numerous overs till I hung up my leathers 5 years ago after a near fatal accident. | |

|
| motorbikes Posted: 2/15/2007 9:51:03 PM | My second bike was a 2 stroke. Suzuki RG 250.....great fun that was.
I have a Yamaha FZR600R which I have had for years. I just can't bear to part with it lol. Not worth me getting another bike while I work abroad cos I rarely get to use it. Especially as I have 2 cars sitting at home lol.
Thinking about getting the MV Augusta or Honda SP2 when I finally live at home full time. I will still keep my Yamaha cos that is not going anywhere except with me!!

| motorbikes Posted: 2/16/2007 11:22:12 AM | Hi, I have two bikes, A kwak KLR250d12, which I use to commute and get around town on. I also own a 1998 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 custom. I use this bike maily for weekends away and long days out. I've also been to Europe on it and plan to go again this year. | |
|
| motorbikes Posted: 2/16/2007 4:58:44 PM | | I ride a Suzuki RF900R one of the most underated bikes ever, goes really well, handles like a dream, reliable and always gives me that grin factor from the moment i open the garage door. | |
|
| motorbikes Posted: 2/16/2007 5:25:48 PM | still got the bike I bought when I was 19! It's a 1976 Suzuki GT750A three cylinder watercooled two-stroke...in maui blue. Still totally original - not mint but all there and in vgc.
Also got a 1976 Yamaha RD350A (that's an air-cooled RD to you young 'uns) again totally original.
Bikes owned in the past include : Suzuki AP50 (75) Honda CD175 Suzuki GT185 Yamaha YDS7 (250) Yamaha YR5 (350) and Kawasaki KH250
Always loved two-strokes... in fact I even had a two-stroke car many years ago!
|
| motorbikes Posted: 2/25/2007 8:36:10 AM | I disagree the new Ducati 1098 much better & hotter! | |
|
| motorbikes Posted: 2/25/2007 8:47:10 AM | Well I had a Honda MT5 50cc when I was 16 proper bike not a rev and rip but it was at a time when the insurance costs went up dramatically and at 17 it was cheaper to think about a car. Probably if I had continued with motorbikes I wouldn't be around now because I like speed too much. It hit home with me when a friend of mine at college lost both parents in a motorbike accident. I have been on the back of my dads motorbike a few times since then he now owns a Kawasaki GPZ500 but he's hardly ridden this one makes me think sometimes when I am stuck in traffic going to work if I should take my bike test.
I would love a Yamaha Vmax though bugger to ride I believe but love the looks of them.
|
| motorbikes Posted: 2/25/2007 10:17:42 AM | I have a Suzuki GSXR600 K4 at the moment
Eventually would like to get a GSXR750 but need to get to the point that I got nothing more to learn from the 600 first.. and the 165mph top speed is enough for now lol
|
| motorbikes Posted: 2/26/2007 5:39:10 AM | Well i am not going to start a wish list of bikes. I have had a fair few. I currently ride the best 2stroke ever made and have so much more fun on it than some of the previous bikes. I can say to all those thinking about doing test, stop thinking DO IT. I used to instruct and you should see the looks on peoples faces when they pass.
Anyways keep it right side up, see you in the corners,
