Any suggestions on migraine remedies?Page 3 of 3    (1, 2, 3)
Feverfew works great according to many of my family members. Also check that you don't have other disorders that give similar symptoms.

I suffered for years with all sorts of problems ncluding severe migraines and I was given all sorts of meds etc by several doctors .

I changed doctors again and found out that I was becoming a type 2 diabetic. Now with the proper meds I have had no major headaches since. Darn quacks never bothered to test me for diabetes!

Right now I'm considering decappitation persoanlly!
I used to suffer when I was younger, and over the past three months they are back with a vengance- actually off work today because of it.Just went to the doc on Thurs. I've tried all sorts of things, my trigger- stress, my doc did give me Rx drugs, but he doesn't want me to take then often ( really, neither do I) T-3's a gravol worked for me for a while, as did feverfew, liquid migarine advil. etc, etc., now I'm being sent to a specialist. My GP however Rx'd a book for me to read- I feel quilty when I say no- by Dr. Claire Weeks. So, I have to look for it- and start to readi it. I'll keep you posted - there may very well be some helpful insight.

and it begins again. I've decided that I hate spring...seems to be spring/early summer that I get the most. Just checked the weather...sure enough...the pressure is dropping.

So here we go again.....someone come tuck me in and take care of the kids for me?

@pinklilly - that is why you are here no? to find your own personal tucker inner?

You can't really cure migraines. Once they get going you are along for the ride. All you can do is lessen the length and severity. The doctor told me anything that stabilizes the vascular flow helps if taken early enough. Otherwise it's useless. Like coffee or chocolate. Like I needed an excuse to drink more coffee... 'Course it didn't help me, 'cause I didn't have migraines, just something much nastier. Got it beat now, clear and no drugs or meds, but still finding out odd things that have changed. Can't drink red wine anymore for instance. Instant blackouts. Not good. Oh well. More for the ladies...

i get migrains about once every couple weeks or so .. and i find .. talking 2 extra strength tylenol regular caplets (da white uns) releive my migrain in about 8-10 mins ...

i'm not up on pills .. but it's the quickest relief for me ... but when i get time i'll read up on some of the posts to see if there are other ways ... in the meantime .. you can always tie a scarf on really tight but that is only a temp relief cuz as soon as you take it off it's right there ... but at least you can fall asleep then

or have a few stiff drinks .. then you wont know the difference
