| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/7/2006 2:36:01 AM | Sabby and Jenny,
Maybe I can offer some assistance to the two of you getting something together and off the ground... First... Pick a DATE and LOCATION... There are already two gatherings in July, so may I suggest August... Keep in mind a few small details as to location... Highway Access, Reasonable Motels, Parking, Room for all the Guests... Those are just the basics...
Once you've chosen a location and time... Simply add a POST in the OHIO PARTY FORUM and the MODS will pick it up and get you the sign up log... After that, it's just paying attention to details and what YOU want the gathering to be... Here is the link to the OHIO PARTY FORUM and to our gathering here in Central Ohio...

| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/8/2006 5:18:22 PM | | How about Jillians, at the southern park mall in Boardman? It's a combo lounge, restaurant, bowling alley, pool hall, arcade... very nice and fun place! | |

We already know this...the prob is that there are no good places that don't cost a ridiculous amount of money, and are central for everyone to attend. Once we have a place we can pick the date.

| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/9/2006 12:10:58 PM | OK I have been off the site for a few mths but I am back now and I talked about wanting to do this long time ago!!!! LETS DO IT!!!!
Jenny
Where is everyone from I mean there is a place in between Lisbon and Salem that is pretty cool, also a new place in New Waterford I am not sure where you guys are wanting to go but I will do whatever I can to help you all.
|
| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/9/2006 12:45:01 PM | Is this cool place czonka's by chance?? I pass it all the time and I have yet to stop - never really sure if it was any fun or not... As for a central place - wouldn't we need to find out where everyone is coming from to know the center??
Anyway - my offer of the club still stands - if there is any interest... I will work with everyone on this... (if that is the way we go)...
|
| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/9/2006 2:40:07 PM | | Yea it's czonka's I have been there a few times it would be ok but it is really country so that might not work to well. I am close to salmen though to I am up 4 whatever. I say we do what the guy above us did that seems to be best | |

| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/9/2006 3:24:48 PM | | First off, guys....don't go somewhere that requires that you PAY for a party area. people won't stay there, and you'll just be wasting the money. Secondly, if you want people from "out there" to come, you need to be near a hotel, so they don't have to drive after drinking. I was just in Cleveland, and I had a room, rather than drive an hour home. For me y-town, boardman and girard are a little farther away than that. | |

| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/9/2006 7:39:49 PM | | Just a quick reminder... I drive for dd4hire. I could probably arrange for a DD for the night... just take a couple bucks from anyone who wishes to use it. Let me know (regardless of where we have it). If we do something like that - it would open us up to a lot of places that aren't near a hotel. | |
|
| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 7/10/2006 2:16:12 PM | Sabby... DD4HIRE is a GREAT concept... do you happen to have the number to the branch/location here in the Columbus area?
Again, if I can help you guys/gals get this off the ground in any way, please let me know.
Right now we are having weekly POOL gatherings that are bringing in 40+ people on Sunday afternoons and with the JULY 29th gathering quickly approaching, we have 325 currently signed up... So even if half show... we're still gonna be ROCKIN'

Happy Hour is from 3 to 7 pm. Disc Jockey starts at 8:00 pm. Feel majority will be arriving by 9:00 pm.
What about PoF Sunday Family Picnic's for Single Parents at St. Parks throughout Ohio? Bring own food service for your family and a dish to share. Don't cook. Maybe bring something to share? Bucket of chicken, potatoe chips, cake, pie, etc. Will just sit around, meet new friends and have a little family reunion. 1. August 6th - thinking about a picnic at Lake Erie? Mentor, Ohio. 2. August 13th - WestBranch State Park 3. August 20th - Central Ohio State Park. 4. Other Ohio locations may wish to have a picnic, also. (We could all try to attend all of them?) Fishing, hiking, swimming, playing cards, eating, games for all. Bring along your musical instruments. Guitar players..your chance to shine. Driving past a Dollar Store?Whynot pop in...pick up a few things for prizes with the games. Especially for children up to 18. Then could get a few for games of adults. Just a thought. Many of us are not into bars. Would be a wonderful day to remember with your children or grandchildren. Whatcha think?

| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 8/30/2006 8:36:12 PM | I'm just getting sick of the men in this area ha ha. I just went out with a real "winner" (* note heavy sarcasm)! And that's all I seem to get. So I don't know if a party would be any better.
I'm just starting to doubt ever dating again.

| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 9/16/2006 12:12:51 PM | Good luck to you all in getting this thing together. I have no idea where you are located, so I am assuming it is way too far for me to plan on attending. But, the get-togethers that we have in Columbus have a great turnout, but it is not directed at a Singles theme. It is more directed at just meeting friends. We have some that have coupled up but we also have a lot more that have not and still enjoying coming just to be with friends. Again, good luck to you all!! | |

| Mahoning / Columbiana County Activities Posted: 9/17/2006 12:56:21 PM | | I went to csonkas last night...the band got kicked out ha ha...but there were a lot more people there, than normal. Maybe we should plan something there? This way if no one shows at least we won't be alone lol. | |
